It is private. It was just a short walk to the beach. A wagon was provided which was a complete win for me with little ones!! There were sand toys, beach chairs and umbrellas available. My only complaint is I missed the ocean view however, I knew I wasn’t gonna get that when I booked it. But I really missed it more than I thought I would. It's really close to the beautiful beach ( 3 min walk), and it's very well appointed, and it's comfortable. It has a cute little private patio. Really can't say anything negative about it. Sep 12, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy We usually rent a big house when we come down to Florida and bring the kids and their friends along, but now that they’re out of the house, we decided to try something different and booked this smaller beach cottage in Pass-a-Grille. Honestly, it turned out to be perfect for the two of us.The location couldn’t be better — about a block and a half walk to the beach, and right across the street from the intercoastal and a great restaurant called The Wharf. We ended up eating there a couple of times because the food was good and the views over the water were spectacular. There’s also a little market nearby, so you really don’t have to leave Pass-a-Grille if you don’t want to.The beach on that end was quiet during the week, which gave us plenty of time to walk the shoreline and enjoy the surf without big crowds. It only got busy once the weekend rolled around. We also took short drives to check out Fort De Soto (well worth it) and explored St. Pete Beach and Madeira Beach for more restaurants and things to do.All in all, this cottage gave us exactly what we were looking for — a cozy place in a great spot with everything close by.
