While in the area we went to Sand Key and Honeymoon Island State parks on a couple of afternoons as well: quite easy to get to.Loved our stay!As a bonus, we saw at the pond across from the drive into Casa Artista one morning: a roseate spoonbill, white egret, snowy egret, little blue heron and a white ibis. Extremely comfortable beds. We were not able to enjoy the beaches with the Red Tide, but a couple of side trips to Tampa, a college visit to USF and a couple of trips to Tarpon Springs madr for a nice time. The home was just PERFECT for our 6 night stay in the Tampa area. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and it was such a quick walk to the cute Safety Harbor downtown and marina area. We enjoyedshopping in the cute shops in downtown Safety Harbor and eating at the French restaurant, Nona's pizza restaurant, and the Greek restaurant in downtown Safety Harbor. Everything was very clean and comfortable in the he! We loved the home and community so much that we contacted a realtor to start looking for a home to buy in Safety Harbor that's also close to the downtown area in preparation for our retirement in the near future. The home is just a few blocks from the center of town with multiple dining and shopping options. The airport, beaches and excellent shopping are less than 30 minutes away. There’s a sweet courtyard that offers views of the wildlife enjoying the fenced pond across the drive. We saw parrots, storks, herons, and a kingfisher with the most beautiful trill. Turtles and an alligator were also present. Our puppy enjoyed patrolling the fenced in front yard as we sipped our morning coffee on the porch. The two bed and bath suites which are on opposite sides of the house were small but more than adequate. The kitchen, dining and living areas were modern and well equipped.
