My daughter and I stayed at the Gulfview this past weekend and we absolutely loved it! While it’s not a fancy place, it’s worth every penny. Yes, it’s a bit outdated and slightly dingy, but for the price, you can’t beat it! If you’re expecting a 5-star hotel on a 2-star budget, this isn’t the place for you.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the beach was clean and beautiful (we even saw dolphins and manatees swim by!), and the location is perfect. Everything is walkable, so you don’t really need a car.
The only downside was the bathroom vent, which sounds like a lawnmower when turned on. It’s loud enough to wake others up, and I could hear my neighbors’ vent as well. The carpet could use some updating, but it’s workable.
Overall, we had a fabulous stay and we plan on booking the Gulfview whenever visiting Clearwater Beach!
