"Very comfortable, nicely positioned hotel."
Hotel was very clean, comfortable and staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Nicely situated hotel beside the beach with beachfront open restaurant. Food was of high standard and afternoon tea was a very nice touch. Pool was nice though quite small, not sure it was really suited for families. Weekly Cocktail party was a nice touch.

Sugar Cane Club Hotel And Spa - Adults Only

"Well set up hotel away from the beach"
We enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Cane Club. The hotel grounds are well tended and the rooms are large and comfortably furnished. There are in-room cooking facilities but we didn't use them. There were plenty of sun loungers in the gardens and around the pool if that is what you want to do. It is quite a walk to a decent beach and the return is up hill. There is a shuttle bus service throughout the day but we hired a car and would recommend that to others if they want to do more than slob out round the pool. One principal reason for wanting a car is to access the plethora of good restaurants in the Speightstown area and beyond. The hotel food did not in our experience compete with the best of what was available outside - except probably on price. The hotel has a serviceable - but little used gym - and a spa which offers a wide range of treatments. The one I had was very enjoyable but seemed excessively pricey. The hotel offers a walk through the wild gulley surrounding the hotel. It is well worth doing and with luck you will finish a freshly picked coconut to eat/drink at the end. Delicious.

"Lovely hotel on beautiful beach."
My second visit here within a year. Food may not be quite as good as first time with more buffet meals than before. Staff friendly, everywhere kept clean and tidy. I would recommend.

Great holiday with the family , lazing around the pool ,swimming in the nice warm sea - complementary boat trips during the day to swim with the turtles . Really good complementary wifi in the rooms and on the private beach. The Resort Manager "Jeff" was really nice , as was his concierge Charlene and the Gazebo bar manager Gilbert and Franz ( he's great fun guy , full of positive energy ) . When we'd had enough of relaxing either Franz or Rico ( another great guy) took us to nearby restaurants and to pick up food supplies . The Yacht Club at Port St Charles was well worth the visit, as was the Lone Star restaurant which we regularly visited as it was up market for us adults , whilst also had a great kids menu for our young children. What was also good was the readily available use of jet skis from Sebastian at $75 US per half hour ( great fun and half hour chunks worked out just fine when in need of an adrenalin boost ). Complementary use of the resorts paddle boards was great fun also ( the kids had great balance - unfortunately my balance not so good , so I stuck to using the resorts canoe and kayak which I found much easier ) . There was also a platform out at sea that we would swim out to daily and then rest whist laying on the floating platform - "most relaxing". The best thing of all was meeting Will Smith ( yes , " Will Smith " ) at the St Peters Bay resort , meeting him was just so great as my family and I are huge fans of him :-)

"Great villa close to Mullins beach"
We stayed at Battaleys Mews for a week and were very happy with the overall experience. I recommend hiring a car as it's the easiest mode of transport to getting around. It's a 5 min walk to the beach and on our way we were greeted by lovely locals. There is a 24hr gas station at the end of the road which is very handy. Our tv wasn't working for the first 2 days but the helpful staff got to the bottom of it and was fixed in due course. Highly recommend.

    St. Peter Hotels Guide

The crowds thin further up the west coast in St. Peter parish. Locals and tourists alike enjoy Mullins Beach, also a favored place to watch the sunset. The island’s northernmost spot, the Animal Flower Cave, is a short drive from St. Peter. The cave is filled with flower-shaped sea anemones. Also nearby is the Barbados Wildlife Refuge. Its mahogany forest is home to the island’s green monkeys.
