From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff was very professional and attentive. The make us feel very welcome at their facilities. The room was excellent. The restaurant and bar inside the hotel you have to visit! The food was excellent, delicious plates and cocktails. My husband and I are "foddies" and we were extremely pleased with the experience. If you want to stay in St. Pete, close to the beach, enjoying yourself and feeling very welcome, the Hotel Zamora is the place to stay!
Good location right on st. Pete beach within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Would be a great place for groups. Front desk staff not that friendly and had to call front desk twice and wait 1 hour to get a blow dryer. Bartender Mark was great at beach bar.
Would try it again. They upgraded us to a garden view room when we were unable to get early check in and overall would give 3.5 stars.
I have been to Guy Harvey for several years now. It has a great location on St. Pete's Beach and is part of the Tradewinds group so guests at Guy Harvey have access to all the amenities at Tradewinds just down the beach.
Staff are incredibly friendly. We have a Gulf front suite - 480 sq. ft - including a living area and fully equipped kitchen.
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, can make small meals in the room, close to lots of stuff, adult only pool and hot tub, good size room although it was an upgrade
Neg: They charge a $40.00 per room daily resort fee, which you have to pay even if you don't use the facilities. I didn't use the facilities so with the exchange to Canadian dollars, it was a $60/day hit basically for nothing. It would be better if they gave you a choice to take it or not and those that did could wear the wristbands.
I will probably return to St. Pete's Beach as I like it there but I may look into a hotel without the resort fee next time.
Historic hotel -not quite as elegant as the website, but nice. Room was musty when we entered but staff was very helpful. They offered another room or a chance to fix it. Restaurant was lacking - average food - high prices. Service was great. Great restaurants in the area. The beach was wonderful. I'm sure the whole experience would have been even better had it not been cold and rainy.
Great location, great views, great dining convenience. The staff is fantastic- wonderfully kind and attentive. The food is good- great casual dining. I will definitely make this a getaway hotel. The only thing I'm doing differently is requesting an updated room. The bathrooms are underwhelming; but, luxury bathrooms make/ break a perfect spot.
The Beachcomber is an older resort that has been very well maintained. Jimmy B's Beach Bar is one off the best places to sit and watch the sun set and the food and drinks are very good. The beach is wide and clean. You can go bar hopping by just walking up and down the beach. The free parking is also a plus.
We will be going back.
location was awesome. Just across the wide white sand and you are walking in the Gulf of Mexico. Room was okay. The mattress was not the best. The springs squeaked and not the most comfortable. Husband said he thought it was okay, I'd wake up with shoulder hurting. Liked that it had the kitchenette. Hot tub was really nice and warm.
As far as hotel goes, it was a place to sleep, nothing spectacular. Had a great heated pool. We loved the location. Right on the beach with walking to all the local bars. Directly across the street is a CVS, liquor store, Publix,Dollar Tree and a great French Bakery (plus a few others). Fridge and Microwave in rooms. We would stay again.
St. Pete Beach stands out as a pioneering resort town on Florida's Gulf coast. Situated on the southwest corner of the Pinellas peninsula, St. Pete Beach is 10 miles from downtown St. Petersburg. Charming small shops and restaurants can be found along Corey Avenue's historic shopping district, and just south are many of the area's large, mid-century resorts that offer unique retro accommodations.
