The property is older and it's in need of a face-lift. The rooms, although kept clean are so outdate that the toilets have water stains, the grout in tiles in bathroom are dirty and property condition can truly use some updates. The staff was very polite, accommodating and rooms were always clean. Dining options were limited and the food was mediocre.

we've been to sapphire beach for many years and it has definitely gone down hill. The water pressure in our room went out at least 4 times and had to wait quite awhile. The front desk didn't give and direction or any help at all. If you wanted a cup of coffee you had to pay $1.50. only one choice for dinner each nite. It was a very unsatisfactory stay and we will NOT stay there again!!

Great location and ocean view. Well kept and staff and service was excellent. Unfortunately the freezer and the bathroom exhaust was not working, and could not be fixed.

Large rooms and bathroom. Great water pressure and beautiful views of the ocean and the lagoon. For the price this property is an excellent choice for groups of four.

I think this property was really nice at one time. It needs some Quality Control for maintenance and cleaning now. The beach is very small with strong waves. Neighboring properties look bad, and the Sapphire seems to be in some kind of ownership transition. Staff was very nice & helpful. They obtained taxies and recommended watching the crazy people (getting blow off the beach by airplanes) at the Driftwood Bar -- a far better place than the crowded Sunset Beach Bar.

Location is good close to beaches and restaurants. Better cooking utensils is required and property conditions in the units are dated and could use some upgrades. Pool area is nice and a good location to meat other residents.

Overall, the location was great for my wife and I. Very quiet and lowkey, however that came at a price as the facility itself is in need of some TLC. Very outdated property with so much potential. We did not spend much time in the resort, but we encountered several issues. Our safe needed to be replaced, our air conditioner was not very cool considering how hot it was there, and lastly we had a very loud refrigerator. The parking was also a bit difficult as it was first come, first serve, with limited space. While I mentioned some things that would deter someone from staying, I implore you to not allow that to be the case because the location is great and the staff was pleasant.

I greatly appreciated the secure private underground parking facility, offering an added layer of safety with its robust metal gate that exclusively responds to your room key. The staff was notably friendly and accommodating. Regrettably, my experience was somewhat dampened by the pervasive scent of mold that filled the rooms, creating an overpowering atmosphere. Additionally, the air conditioning in my room struggled to function effectively, and I encountered issues with certain lights not working. Despite these challenges, the standout feature of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional staff who went above and beyond. Overall, I would rate my experience as poor, bordering on average, with the commendable service being a saving grace.

I had numerous issues upon check in. The THIRD room was good. Quiet A/C worked well but wifi was spotty.My rating would of been lower if it wasnt for the friendly and helpful staff. Poor limited food at pool bar and the bartender also had to cook.Quiet laid back area in Cupecoy with dining and beaches nearby. Property is showing its age and needs a renovation.Wide range of quality in the rooms. Some MUCH better than others.

If you want to experience what it was like to stay at a hotel in the 70’s while waiting for Tony Montana (Scarface) to “deliver the yeyo” this is the place for you. Very outdated, we went there for our honeymoon on a recommendation from Hotels.com but sadly, they did not do the research which we should’ve. Here’s some of the problems we found: The hot tub in the balcony with broken and had dead roaches. The air conditioning was not cooling sufficiently which made it a rough three nights to sleep. The TV in the bedroom was not working. A total of four lightbulbs throughout the room were out. The hot water would go in and out. and the mattress was very cheap and old. we understand that after the storm & Covid a lot of hotels suffered. but I blame this more on hotels.com for posting some amazing pictures without doing the research. we will see this the staff was awesome and work with what they had.

We booked a reservation 6 months in advance, had confirmation it was the type of room we wanted. After traveling to the island, getting a car, and getting to the hotel, they tell us that the type of room we reserved is sold out. Their reservation system put us down as a different type of room. Manager was nice, showed us some other options, but nothing close to what we bopked and were expecting. After finally settling on a room, we unpacked. 2 minutes later a knock on the door and they are telling us we have to change rooms. This room is now spoken for by someone else. We finally just went to another resort and tried to forget the chaos that started our vacation. Points to them for trying and being somewhat helpful, but nwver again at this place.
