Only a 2 block walk from Forest Park & its Metrolink train stop, your group will have access to everything the city has to offer. This 100 year-old historic home is only blocks from Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair and St. Louis Zoo. UPDATED May 30, 2025: Our neighborhood was hit with the May 16th tornado which was 1 mile wide and 23 miles long. Although many homes along its path were devastated, the buildings along our street mainly suffered roof damage, broken windows and uprooted trees. The city has cleaned most of that up and the area is getting back to normalcy. Our building received minimal damage and has been fully occupied. "Suites in the Lou" offers 6 private short term rental suites in one building - great for a large group which may want to all stay in one place. Walkable to Forest Park, the Metrolink train stop, the Delmar Loop, restaurants, and shopping. Additional listings can be found online at "SuitesintheLou" This 1st floor 2-bedroom/1 bath suite sleeps 4 guests. Enjoy a king bedroom for you plus a second bedroom with a queen bed. Need to get around town? Metrolink, buses and quick access to Forest Park Parkway and I-170 makes it easy! A Metrolink station is conveniently located in DeBaliviere Place. You can hop on the Skinker/DeBaliviere stop and head all the way to the Lambert International Airport or right downtown. We're proud that our neighborhood boasts excellent public transit. We're also centrally located, so you can take a short walk, ride, or drive to the Delmar Loop, Washington University, the Central West End, or Forest Park. There are plenty of quality dining, retail, and entertainment choices within 2 miles. DeBaliviere Place simply presents the best that St. Louis has to offer. There is no direct access from DeBaliviere Avenue. Off-Street Parking: Access to the parking lot is only available after you arrive and check into your unit. A remote to the gate and a key to your back door entrance will be waiting for you on the kitchen counter. In the meantime, feel free to find a parking spot out front on the street. It is a 30 minute walk to the zoo, which sounds like a lot but it is a very pleasant and safe walk through Forest Park. Also very close to the Delmar Loop Trolley which my 2 year old was absolutely enthralled with. Towels were plentiful and kitchen was adequate for a simple meal. There are lots of things to do around St Louis, and the location for this apartment allows for easy access to all of it. This location was very convenient to the hospital and had everything we needed. A HUGE plus was the available gated parking. You don’t realize how many places around Barnes don’t have any parking to speak of and I did not want to have to worry about that. Granted we only used the VRBO house to sleep in but it was quiet, clean and the beds were comfortable. All in all a very pleasant experience. ##### Don P. My family came with me and explored the nearby Forest Park, including the zoo, while I was working. The apartment was very comfortable for us. We did have to be careful with the glass table with the youngest member of our group, but this was manageable. We did have an older person in our group who walks with a cane, and she did well coming and going - there are about five steps to get up into the apartment but none inside. Beds were a little squeaky but very comfortable -- the sheets were so soft and felt wonderful after a long day of work (or fun!). The pull-out sofa in the living room was great as well. I also appreciated that the back door, which went to the gated parking lot, opened straight to outdoor air (this seems to be the case for all units in this building). We parked in that lot during our stay, but it looked like on-street parking in front would have worked too. Neighborhood was quiet and lovely. AC worked perfectly, even on 96 degree days. All-in-all, it was great for staying with our family, and we would definitely book here again. ##### Laura A.
