Pretty *3BDR/2Bath Home* in a Good Area Next to Parks & Close to Downtown!

The home is remodeled with a stylish design accomodating families, business travelers as well as vacationers. The neighborhood is safe and an excellent location to explore all that St Louis has to offer. It is located next to the beautiful Carondelet Park( few minutes walk), 10 min drive to Downtown, the Arch, Busch Stadium and the Ball Park Village. A short drive to a Missouri Botanical garden, the St Louis Zoo and all of the exhibits in Forest Park. If you love frozen Custard, the famous Ted Drewes is just a few minutes drive away in St Louis Hills.

The home is 890 sq. ft. upstairs and a total of 1400 sq. ft finished space with basement! It has 2 bedroom and 1 bath and a queen size sofa bed on main level and a fully finished basement.The basement has a living room and a bedroom and a master bathroom. On both level the living rooms are very spacious with comfy couches and equipped with 55' and 50'' LED flatscreen TVs. You can watch NETFLIX on both TV's, in addition the downstairs living room TV's has Amazon Prime. The home includes a washer/dryer, High speed Wifi internet, master bedroom ceiling fan, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds in every bedroom and a cozy and stylish design. The house has an on an off street ( garage ) parking for your conveniance.

The house is nice overall but could use some better maintenance/housekeeping. The beds were decent but one was very squeaky. The shower head in the basement bathroom was loose and sprayed all over so we couldn't use it. The towels and blankets were still wet from the cleaning people washing them. The owner apologized and said she would address the issues.

Best Secret In Saint Louis!

The host was awesome! My stay was an impromptu stay. The host went out of the way to make sure the home was ready, clean and comfortable. We came to visit our 92 year old Aunt. Since she is a resident at a nursing home, we decided to bring her to our location. My aunt stated " This was the best rest I've had in 2 years!" The area was quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay!

Spring Break Week Stay

It was nicely decorated, but overall disappointing. The kitchen was dirty and poorly stocked—filth, cutlery, chipped plates and cups, food from other guests left in cabinets, a rusted kitchen garbage can with food left in the bottom. The oven was a self-cleaning oven that looked like it had never been cleaned. The kitchen and dining area light was poor, with no spare bulbs. Clean towels were folded and left damp. The kitchen basics, like dish towels (1) and dishwasher pods (3), were insufficient for a week-long stay. The entrance was unswept, with debris left out. It felt like the place hadn't been checked before our stay. Needs better upkeep and checking before guests arrive.

Great location

The home was clean and relaxing. The owner was very nice and responded to me very quickly to answer any questions I had. Not to far away from downtown and surrounding attractions. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The only reason I have it a four star was because the front door has three locks and only one was working. The other two are attached to the door trim but the trim was almost broken off, so we had to careful and not touch the other locks. Glad it was a safe neighborhood. Hopefully this will be fixed for the next family or person who stay at this home. whowhothepoffdtr

Cute and comfortable

We enjoyed the home during our stay in St Lois . It was a comfortable house and very roomy for our family of four . Having two family rooms was a bonus so my husband and I could relax and watch tv upstairs and the teenagers could game downstairs. The beds were comfortable. We plan to book again in the spring/summer time .

We decided to take a trip the week of thanksgiving to a new state our kids had not been to. We stayed busy with activities we had planned. The location of the house was convenient to all of our plans. It was in a nice quiet neighborhood.

Convenient to St. Louis Attractions

Property was nicely decorated and comfortable, but could use some improvements. Lockbox was difficult to operate. Kitchen was dimly lighted. Requirement to remove shoes was not appreciated by a senior, especially on steep basement stairs. Driving to area attractions was convenient on or off the Interstate.

Just What We Were Looking For

Andrea's house had everything we needed, from the kitchen supplies to the linens. The beds, dining chairs and couches were comfortable, and even the neighbors were friendly. We all very much appreciated our stay and would love to book again in the future.

Met our needs, some repairs needed

Overall the house met our needs for our stay. We had 5 people total. My in-laws and our 7 year old son. The beds were comfortable enough, bathrooms were fine, kitchen appliances all worked. The neighborhood was decent, not unsafe. House was clean. Kitchen skillets were in pretty bad shape, and could use replacing. Not a ton of family friendly sit down restaurants super close by, everything seemed to be 15+ mins away, but it wasn’t a huge issue for us. I think the photos make it look a little nicer than in person. The blinds in the living room and kitchen did not work properly so the large picture window in the front did not provide privacy. So those could use replacing or a curtain added. We ended up putting a suitcase in the window. Also during our stay we had a bad storm and rain started leaking into the basement living room area in the middle of the night. My husband and I were staying in the basement and were awaken by water dripping at 2:30 in the morning. I tried putting a bucket under it but realized the next morning the bucket was broken and leaked out all the water onto the floor. Luckily it was all far enough from our room that the water didn’t affect us, besides the sound of the dripping. We spent the rest of the thunderstorm listening to loud water dripping noises, and didn’t get much sleep that night. The homeowner was responsive, so hopefully these issues will be fixed for the next person.

Cardinals game

Home was as listed. No surprises. Trip was great! The heat was awful but the AC kept us nice and cool. Pillows and bedding were nice. We packed most of our meals but would recommend bringing your favorite pots/pans or mixing bowl. Pots and pans could be upgraded. That is the only suggestion we would have. Great stay. Would rent again for sure.

Pros: Very clean Quiet neighborhood on a non-busy street Easy to get to all of the best spots of Stl Plenty of space for family of 6 Decorated nicely Downstairs shower is massive Ceiling fans in each bedroom Graco pack n play provided (need your own sheets) Host was amicable and communicative Areas that I think could be improved: USB outlets in wall outlets or lamps or a cordless charging station A recycling bin inside the house Upgrade the pillows Upgrade the mattresses (To be fair on the mattresses, I tend to compare every mattress to our Purple mattress at home. Nothing can compete with it. My husband also thought the mattresses could be improved, though.) Remodel the upstairs bathroom similar to the downstairs shower No hot tub like listing lists Bench/chairs on front steps area Bottom line: We'd recommend.

Great location and neighborhood

This house worked so well for our stay to St. Louis with 2 adults and 3 young kids. It was in a great location close to the main attractions we visited and we felt safe walking the neighborhood - there is a shaved ice place a few blocks away. The nearby Carondelet Park was nice as well as the rec center/pool next to the park. Having an upstairs and a downstairs also worked well with the kids, especially having two that still nap in the afternoon. A charming old (but functional) house and we’d definitely stay again on our next visit!

Quiet little getaway

The house was just as described. We loved the location to STL destinations. It was on a quiet street. I grew up in StL city homes, so the little older home quirks like squeaky floors didn’t bother me. Our only complaint were the pillows. They were so thin, flat as a pancake. Please, homeowner, replace them!!

Perfect location

We loved our stay in this cute house. So close to all the things we wanted to see without being in the middle of the city. The house was clean and well furnished. We even made a few meals there. We had everything we needed. We will be back!

Family Vacation

We had a mix of adults and teens. This was charming, comfortable and clean! It sleeps 9 with three bedrooms and a pullout double bed in the living room and a long comfy couch in the downstairs living space. Two large TVs and a well appointed kitchen made this house a lot of fun! Teens took over the basement while adults had the living room tv! The dining room has a large table for family meals. It is a historic neighborhood with beautiful red brick houses. Remember a power strip, not a ton of outlets for tech minded teenagers but the beauty and convenience and laundry facilities more than make up for that tiny easily corrected inconvenience.

Quick summer trip

The place was as advertised. Much better than a hotel. Downstairs shower was huge and had great water pressure. Beds were ok, never quite was good as your own but they were fine . Pots and pans were of marginal quality , if you are planning a longer stay and want to cook more you may need to bring your own pot and pan . Nice to have Netflix and Amazon prime to watch . Good tv selection.

Nothing fancy, but just what we needed

We were in St. Louis for a few days for a large conference that was going on at the same time as a Cards/Cubs series, so hotels were a VERY hot commodity. The house wasn't fancy but for a small youth group it had all we needed with a perfect setup to have girls/boys seperated spaces. It was tucked back into a small neighborhood giving a safer feel from being downtown with a group of kids during the biggest part of the days/evenings. It was just a short trip to get into the dome/convention center.
