The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis lies in the Caribbean Sea and comprises two small islands — yes, you guessed it, St. Kitts and Nevis. Gorgeous beaches, lush rainforests, historic landmarks and a welcoming atmosphere make this dual-island nation an ideal vacation destination.
Expedia has 347 hotels for you to choose from here starting at CA $268 a night. Want to save yourself time and money? Bundle your hotel and flight bookings. With a St. Kitts and Nevis Vacation Package, you can also add car rentals and experiences. If you enjoy a good walk, how about adding a guided hike to the summit of Mount Liamuiga to your package?
Day 1-2: Unless you’re flying to St. Kitts from another Caribbean island, you’ll likely touchdown at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in the capital, Basseterre. Once you’ve settled into your hotel, head to the Circus and Independence Square in the heart of the city. From there, it’s a short stroll to popular sights like Berkeley Memorial, the National Museum and Port Zante.
Day 3: Jump in your rental car and cruise around St. Kitts. It’s a great way to see those attractions a little out of town, like Romney Manor, Old Town Road and Bloody Point.
Day 4-5: Take a ferry from St. Kitts to Nevis and then join a cycling tour past picturesque sights like Newcastle Beach. If you time it right, you can join the swimming race across the beautiful Narrows strait that separates the islands. It’s held each spring.
Residents celebrate Independence Day on September 19 each year. A military parade is held in Basseterre and is part of a two-day festival with dancing, concerts and more.
