This spacious retreat was formerly a commercial art gallery. Two queen beds, one full bathroom & full kitchen make for comfortable living! You have a fenced path leading you down to the beautiful waters of Salt Run where a rooftop deck & saltwater in-ground pool invites you to relax and slow down. Less than a mile to downtown St. Augustine, a little over a mile to the Amphitheater and about 3 miles to the beach. Downstairs you have a combined living space with a queen bed, L-shaped couch, and kitchen with bar seating. The kitchen has a two-burner gas stovetop, full-sized retro fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, toaster & kettle. Upstairs you have an A-frame hideaway! A comfortable queen bed, 2 office desks for remote working, and a bookshelf stocked with books and games for those (rare) rainy days. A dedicated, separate entrance to the upstairs bedroom makes it convenient for two couples. You have a fenced path leading you down to the beautiful waters of Salt Run. Make your way up to the rooftop deck for some sunshine and incredible views while catching that awesome ocean breeze. Time for a swim? In front of the waterside rooftop deck you'll find a large 15'x30' saltwater swimming pool. The pool has a large shallow-depth ledge perfect for relaxing or enjoying a book. The pool is available year-round & heated to 80-82 degrees. The pool and rooftop deck are shared with one other vacation rental on this large property (more on that below). Only a few blocks away, you have a full-service marina with lots of fishing charters and boat tour options. Perfectly situated on a dead-end street just off the main boulevard. You are less than a mile to downtown St. Augustine, just a little over a mile to the Amphitheater, and about 3 miles to St. Augustine Beach. Additional nearby attractions include the Alligator Farm and St. Augustine Lighthouse, both within walking/biking distance or a very short drive. Ready for the beach? Four nice quality beach chairs are provided with armrests and lay-flat functionality. Parking is not an issue with two dedicated off-street parking spaces and fast wifi makes it easy to stay connected. Washer & dryer is available for guests staying 4 nights or longer at no additional cost. Other Things To Note: This is a large property spanning almost a 1/2 acre. There are three separate buildings on the property. Each building has its own dedicated parking, private entrance and share no common walls. The waterfront rooftop deck & pool is shared between all. There is a photo that gives a satellite view of the property layout. The heated pool temperature will be 80-82 degrees. The pool heater cannot function when outside temperature drops below 48 degrees. Therefore during cold fronts the water may drop below our set temperature until the heater can kick back on. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am and pool hours are from sunrise to sunset. The dock that can be seen in the background of some photos is our neighbor's. The Retreat came with all the amenities we could hope for. We enjoyed a dip in the pool and the views from the rooftop deck. It was a short drive into St Augustine and there are grocery stores and plenty of restaurants close by as well. The hosts are awesome- super responsive and even went the extra mile to ship us back two jackets we accidentally left behind. I would highly recommend this place! ##### Heather C. So nicely decorated and appointed. I stayed with my 12 and 13 year olds. We enjoyed the pool - the owner even turned on a bubble machine for us to make it extra special. Checks all the boxes for the things that are important to us when traveling: Super clean, good shower, very comfortable bed/ bedding, good internet connection, easy check in…and there was much more, as well as many thoughtful touches. We loved the rooftop deck with a beautiful view of the intracoastal waterway and swam in the heated saltwater pool. The view from the outside deck and pool area is beautiful, and the pool is wonderful. It is shared with another unit, but we only had people in the other unit for 1 day of our stay. The unit we stayed in is small, but it was all my husband and I needed, and it is nicely done. We could have used an oven one day (which it doesn’t have), but overall the unit was great for us. The only other problem is that parking when you get to the historic district is rather limited, since we did have to drive to get there, but we managed to find spots each day. The hosts sent a guidebook which had all the information you need for getting around, and places to visit and eat which was perfect for us. ##### Laura K. We were so fortunate to find this place! There were so many features to love about our stay. This condo (section of a larger house) is right across the bridge from the city of St. Augustine. We were close to the city, but not right in the hustle and bustle of the city. We were close to great restaurants, the lighthouse, putt putt, and Anastasia Island’s State Park. I almost hate to tell you about all of the property positives. We want to keep it to ourselves. Just a few-minute drive to several beaches in the area. The property itself serves as an oasis, providing a rooftop deck offering a beautiful view of the bay and a pool shared with guests in the other part of the house (made into two condos). The heated pool was perfect for early spring swims! It was very well-maintained and offered a beautiful view.The condo provides what is needed for cooking on the two-burner gas stove. No oven. But, that’s okay because you will want to try out all of the great restaurants in the area! The bottom level of the condo has a small kitchen, a small living area with a couch and TV, and a queen bed. There is one bathroom downstairs in the condo. There is another bathroom accessible. But, it is a little walk to the pool area. Upstairs, you will find a queen bed. No doors between these areas. So, if you’re looking for privacy between these areas, it will be hard to find. We were very appreciative to have a nice washer and dryer to use. House nice and clean, I enjoyed the gas stove. Didn't like how we couldn't play in the pool after sunset, wanted to put the children to bed and just relax by the pool, but probably wouldn't have done that anyway because the pool is a little walk from the guest house. The neighbors are also very close and they decided to clean off their balcony with what looked like a water hose, but he also had a bug spray pump and sprinkles of whatever he was spraying was hitting us by the pool so we limitted our play to the other side. (Not like this host can control their neighbors) Also those same neighbors let their dog out and the dog watched us for a little bit and then starting barking at us, after a couple barks the dog was called back inside, again these host can't control the neighbors, it was just bothersome. There was also a sign that read no food or drinks by the pool which was crazy because on a hot day one would want something to drink while playing in the pool. The house had this secluded feeling which was nice, the area was very quiet. There was nowhere to put wet towels from the pool or shower. The beds were comfortable and clean. I thought it was weird reading the guestbook that the bathroom next to the pool is a shared bathroom and might not be cleaned after every guest. The pool bathroom trash was half full, but otherwise the bathroom was clean. When leaving they want you to take out the trash and wash the dishes or load the dishwasher. ##### Aliya W.
