The Stonewall Apartment has a private entrance, a large one car garage. Located downtown St Augustine, its walking distance to , venues, shops and all the historic places to visit.

We liked this place a lot. The location was very convenient and the apartment was very clean and modern.The bathroom lights flickered on and off.The inside staircase is slippery, especially if you are wearing socks.

Deceiving pictures and description

Unit pics did not include that in addition to the steps to the 2nd, main living area, one of the bedrooms was another 17 steps. Bathroom and small bedroom on 2nd, bedroom and two closets on the 3rd. We slept on the 3rd floor but only bathroom is on the 2nd floor, very poor design that was not evident from the pics and description. Supplies were sparse, only one roll of toilet paper supplied for a 5 day stay. Flatware was kid size. Neighborhood had homeless on the street everyday. This is our first and last VRBO.

A sufficient stay

The location of the property is great, and as described. The property its self was sufficient, but they did not do anything extra! Smoke detector downstairs was completely removed/missing. Bare minimum as far as linens, no washcloths, had to use hand towels to wash face etc. It was unusually cold during our stay, the unit was cold and only one extra blanket available! The pots/pans are cheap & difficult to cook on, even with appropriate non stick spray. Garage for the car was great, especially since we were traveling with bikes, nice to be able to have a safe place to store them. Communication from property manager was less than satisfactory, received a email day after booking stating I would receive complete instructions by 9:00 pm the night before arrival, did not receive them & had to look up property manager’s website information and email, finally received the instructions. When you are traveling from out of state, and 10 hours away, this is not okay l! Instructions should be provided at the time of booking. I have used VRBO many times, in the US and Europe, I typically try to book from individual owners, as they take so much more attention to detail and actually care about the quality of the stay of their guests. This was the first time I have used a properly managed by a property management company, just not the same!

I went with my family last weekend, everything was excellent until we arrived at the house on the 24th at 11:30 pm after going to dinner and at the moment the door code did not work, we called the contact number that appeared in the emails they sent me and they gave us the option of a code to search for a key that was in a lock, once we did it the key was not for that door. We called again and the only answer they gave us was that they were going to send a message to the owners of the house, who had no other option than that. Luckily it occurred to us to open a window in the living room and it was open and that's where one of the children came in and we were able to open the door all that time we were outside without an answer in the tremendous cold. On the 25th at 7:00am I received a message saying where the key to Apt. B was. I find it very disrespectful that they have not checked the door batteries or given any other solution, otherwise we would have had to sleep "where" on the street?

Christmas break in St. Augustine

My family and I took a little break and came up the weekend before Christmas. The location of the stay was perfect. We were within walking distance of everything. Whether it was lights, attractions, or my favorite part, the distilleries. The overall experience was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Great weekend getaway!

Very very happy with our stay. The property managers were amazing. We were within walking distance of every major site. The apartment is modern, comfortable and clean. We even had a garage and plenty of driveway space. Perfect for a getaway in St. Augustine!

Very Convenient Location

Great location, close and walkable to the historic district. Several restaurants nearby. We did not use our car at all during our stay, it stayed in the garage! This saved us a lot of headaches and $ as parking in the area can be pricey and several of the lots were full.

Comfortable, clean, quiet Lincolnville location amid assorted Victorian era homes. Easy walking to dining, museums, and waterfront. Garage was an added plus for parking and security. Only negative was the Roku TV - couldn't adjust volume without a system upgrade which required a password.

Location, Location, Location

We stayed for six days while I participated in the Plein Air Paint Out hosted by the St. Augustine Art Association. Originally, I was hoping for a location closer to the Association, but the Stonewall Unit B accommodation is located on the border of Lincolnville and the southerly portion of Old Town. Walking out the front gate onto Park Place heads right into St Francis St. where the Oldest House and Old Barracks are located as well as St Francis Inn. I ended up painting in Lincolnville only. There was plenty to be intrigued about from this locale. I seldom used the vehicle to get around the city.

New Apartment - weak Amenities

Good location to downtown (1/2mile), off street parking in garage, quiet neighborhood - mainly hear the birds when outside, no traffic sounds, apartment is new. Now the bad, cheap furniture, which was uncomfortable , master bed was broken and livingroom couch and chairs were uncomfortable to sit in. Had trouble with the Wi-Fi which is shared with 3 units and located in other building, sometimes it would drop out and the TV could not stream a show. Needed more cleaning supplies left in unit. No broom & dustpan. Kitchen could have been supplied better, very few pots, pans, bowls, containers and utensils. If there is something you will need for cooking make sure you bring it. No info book in the unit containing all the house info. Contacted management company 2 times in Vrbo app, took about a day for response. Contacted management company another 2 times using the phone numbers they provided in an email and they never responded back. All the bad can easily be remedied by owner and / or management company. Note: there are a lot of stairs, so if stairs bother you, do not go here. One flight of outside stairs to the 1st floor living unit then another 16 stairs to the master bedroom. I love stairs, so no problem for me.

New, great location and garage.

My wife and I stayed in this property for five days. It is essentially a brand new duplex and shares the property with another apartment (shared wall) and a larger house. It is in a predominantly nice neighborhood only a couple of blocks from downtown Saint Augustine. Entry is directly into a garage (remote supplied) and the property is gated and well lit. It is nicely decorated and everything was new and clean. Renters should know that there are a lot of steps from the ground floor garage to the unit and within the unit from the first floor to the second-floor master. Also, the only bathroom is on the first floor of the unit so if you get up at night it’s a bit of a trek from the master bedroom. The kitchen is small but very nice and well stocked. The bathroom is likewise small but very nice with a good shower/water pressure. There is no real outdoor space or a view just a small shared patio on the ground level surrounded by high privacy fence. A couple of moderate complaints: the mattress in the master bedroom was not very nice or comfortable; there’s no TV in the master bedroom (but a nice Roku TV downstairs); and no mirror in the master bedroom. There was no one in the other two units during our stay but it did not seem like privacy would be a big issue.
