Matanzas Inlet Beach House. White sandy barrier island!! Our Matanzas Beach House is an amazing mix of the old charm and the new modern updates. It is positioned between the beautiful Matanzas Inlet Beach and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is listed in the historical magazine of St Augustine. It is a sprawling property with so much natural beauty all around. There are paths, fountains, a beach tower for viewing and a large swing for relaxing after a day at the beach or fishing in the intracoastal. You can literally walk across A 1 A south and you are on the spectacular white sandy beach. There are two very large barn doors for access that keeps the property private and secure. The property is two lots with a separate listing on the second lot a 2019 airstream VRBO # ...you can book both for an additional 155 per nite. The house features two platform queen bedrooms and a loft queen . There is also a single bed swing in the large living room for additional sleeping or relaxing. There is one large double sink bath with tub shower and also a private hot cold shower outside for additional private showering. We keep the guest total at six but there is parking for four vehicles/ boat and or water toys. The linens are top of the line along with everything you will need in the kitchen and outdoors so you will be exceedingly comfortable and happy. I personally go to this beach house to relax and hang with best friends. There is great private gathering area behind the cottage with a proper cover so you can sit and relax on comfy furniture after a day of fun. There is also a hot tub for 18 and older guests on the property. Sea Horse Haven is a Jem, our host Mr. O'Toole was the BEST! Easy check in and he was very attentive. The house was equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need. Having a washer and dryer made it handy to wash towels and wet clothing from the beach. The outdoor shower was one of the best features of our stay, (next to the beach) it made it so easy for all of us after playing on the beach. The walk to the beach was short and very doable we used a wagon and backpack chairs, morning walks on the beach is a must, so peaceful!There is an Airstream on the property that was available to rent nightly if we had gotten any extra family in, however we did great with the main house there is ample room on the property. The outside area was natural and comfortable with lots of sitting areas to chill. We all loved this location and will definitely return. Even though it is close to the highway the walls/gates makes it feel like you're in your own little world and provides plenty of privacy. There are a few great beach access points. They went above and beyond in providing what one would need for their stay. My kids even enjoyed using the outside shower and it made it so easy for beach days! This spot is about 30 min from the st. Very happy with the stay. One thing to look out for is if it rains a lot (as it usually does Florida afternoons) there is standing water where you pull your vehicle into the driveway and you will have to walk through it open and close the gate. Bring some rubber sandals. Backing out onto A1A would seem to be a pain but with a touch of patience never had an issue even when traffic was heavy. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. It was a perfect layout for my wife and I to chill with our 2 Jack Russells. The house itself reminds more of the Florida Keys than the northeast part of the state. The house was clean, fresh and well appointed. The walled in grounds were much appreciated with regard to the dogs and the various gardens were well conceived. Lots of love and thought went into design of Sea Horse Haven both inside and out. The access to the magnificent beaches was a breeze and evenings in the hot tub was a great way to finish the day. Our kids loved exploring and the cozy swing bed and loft, we enjoyed the outdoor space, hot tub, and EVERYONE loved the outdoor shower!! Walking to the beach was pretty easy, however would recommend a wagon if you have a lot of gear. Parking was easy and there were so many places to hang out. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Matanzas Inlet is absolutely beautiful and this rental was in the perfect convenient location to enjoy the beach each day.
