Small room features a king-sized bed with small walking space and original art on the wall and an updated private bathroom that consist of necessary amenities for light packing travelers. Welcome to “Vintage” Florida! We are just off the beaten path, so you may hear activity early in the morning to late at night….It is a vibrant town! Our blue home is next to a vacant business with access to parking behind the home as well as the front. We are conveniently located next to US -1 (which is a busy road; apologies for disturbance ) easy on street parking or behind home. While we are sharing the property with other guests, it is important that guests respect each other. House rules are enforced! Quiet Hours 10pm-8am Enter through the right courtyard through white side gate. Entry to unit is at the end of the home; up the stairs and to the right to Unit 3\. The "Gem" is a king bedroom situated in a multi-family house that has a shared garden with seating and tables for guests to enjoy an outdoor experience. The property has a total of five units with private entrances and is conveniently located next to busy US-1\. The location is a few blocks away from the best uptown restaurants and shops, and within walking distance to downtown historical sites. It's a 10-minute walk to the fort and 15 minutes to St. George S. Free street parking is available in front and 40-amp EV charging in the back and extra spaces. The beach is only a 10-minute drive away. -Dogs are permitted on the premises subject to prior approval, and a thorough sweeping of the area is required upon departure.Only dogs are allowed, not added on reservations. We allow a maximum of two dogs for a $25 cash fee per dog; no cats or other animals are permitted. •Walking is best, however bike, scooters, three wheelers rentals are available. Touristy town with trollies just a few blocks away or call a pedi-cab to pick you up at the front of the property! •Bikes are available for only guests staying on the property. Me'Lieu Property management is not liable for injuries when you ride off the property. Please inspect bicycles before riding. The room was the perfect size for me and my wife for a long weekend stay. However the bed was not comfortable, the middle sagged quite a bit making us slouch in the middle of the night and was very loud when you moved around and made it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. The listing clearly stated that there was an EV charging station on site. We had planned on that, and when we got there, there was only an outlet to connect your own EV charger. The host did not seem to even know what her listing said, she asked me to send her a screenshot of where I saw that in the listing. She did nothing to compensate us in any way for the inconvenience, other than tell us to go to the outlet mall to charge our car. We chose this particular property because it said there was an EV charging station. In addition, the property was not very clean, the bathroom needs a good scrub down and the baseboards were pretty dirty. The outside area has a bunch of café lights, and most of them were burned out. It is central to downtown St Augustine and surrounding area. The host was very nice and accommodating! If I could change one thing it would be to update the bed or add a box spring, we were able to sleep pretty good but a box spring would help for those who would prefer a firmer bed. We were in town for a concert and it provided a comfortable room with a refrigerator and microwave to relax in before the concert and come back to for the night.
