Charming 2-bedroom cottage on Bay View, just off San Marco, featuring two Queen bedrooms, a basic kitchen, dining area, and one bath. Conveniently located a mile north of St. George Street and 1.5 miles from the beach, it's within walking distance to attractions. Pet fee: $50 per dog not added on reservation. Communication is the key to a great stay and we hope to fulfill that experience! Please contact me at any time! Looking forward to your booking and showing you a bit of St Augustine! This rental is on a property that has three other rental units. Located in a busy area of St Augustine, it has a safe neighborhood feel for a nice walk! Be aware Popular DOS coffee house is right up the street. \- Free street and driveway parking (Do not park at restaurant or yellow curb) (be careful being blocked in, communicate with other guests if necessary) Your cottage is in the rear of the property and is entered through the door marked 4. Free street parking is available in front of the house; however, please do not park next to the yellow curbs. It is advisable to park on the opposite side of the driveway where the yellow parking blocks are located. Peony Pearl is a quaint home located behind the main house, featuring two queen bedrooms and one bathroom. The thermostat is conveniently located in the living room. The home includes a full kitchen, equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and complimentary coffee/tea. Please note that spices are not provided to ensure optimal sanitation; guests are encouraged to bring their preferred products. The living room offers a comfortable sofa and TV. The bathroom includes a standing shower and is stocked with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and two sets of towels per bed. Outside, there is a large side yard with a shared garden (not fenced). Up to two pets are allowed for a small fee of $50 cash; however, no cats or other animals are permitted. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Security cameras are present on the property, and only guests listed on the reservation are allowed on the premises. Parking can be limited in town, but driving may be best. Near locations are bikes, scooters, three wheelers for rent or grab any of the tourist trollies...all just a few blocks away. Highly recommend asking host about parking near downtown. Parking Down Town 2.50 per hour, free after 5 pm and Sunday Garage parking down town $20 a day (1 Cordova st.) \-.8 miles to Fountain of Youth \-1.5 miles to Fort San Marco \-1.5 miles to st George \-3.6 miles Alligator farm \-5.6 miles St Augustine Beach \-2.4 miles Vilano Beach \-2.0 miles Bridge of Lions \-Please keep doors closed due to bugs. \-Free street parking is available in front of the house but please avoid parking next to yellow curbs. Parking next to unit is fine however getting blocked in could happen. Highly recommend units with more than 2-3 vehicles to park in drive way. \-No cable. Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ connect to your streaming services to watch movies, TV shows, and other content over the internet \-No smoking inside, any smell is a $250 fine. Outside smoking away from doors or the home is fine. \-Trash bins are in the front next to car entrance. \-Having many properties to cover is not a good excuse for anything that we might have missed. Please let us know if there is anything we can fix or drop off. Communication is the key to a great stay and we hope to fulfill that experience! However, there were only 2 chairs at the dining room table and one was about ready to fall apart. There wasn't accomodations for staying there for 6 nights. Vrbo did refund the money but didn't help with finding another property. It was a terrible experience and we flew in late at night so be cautioned. I am not one to complain- However, in saying that the only reason we didn’t leave the second we arrived is we got there later then expected and had a prior engagement. When arriving to our dismay we opened the door to a sour pungent smell. There was dirt and leaves scattered on the floor in nearly every room and the temperature of the home was extremely warm for the Florida temperature; which I feel may have attributed to the awful smell. My children didn’t even want to put their luggage down on the floors. Once arriving back to the home that evening my oldest nearly twisted his ankle on the roots coming up the driveway/walking area from not being able to see from poor lighting. When taking our dog outside to use the restroom there was pet fecal matter in numerous areas amongst the side of the home. When returning inside I noticed bugs coming in from a large gap on what I would consider the back door. Including spiders, ants, and small flies. The entire home is in extremely awful poor conditions but the rotting moldy wooden towel rack, hard stale smelling towels, and WiFi was non existent was the worst or so we thought… Each day we woke up the dogs bowel of food was full of ants and water had flies and spiders floating on the top. With all of that being said what absolutely made us cut our trip short and leave this home was the fact that after being in the home for any given amount of time you felt like you were being bit by something - that is not acceptable! I was incredibly sad as the location was great but the home itself should be condemned. ##### Jamie S.
