This breezy house, with its beachy-chic interior and wrap around porch will be the perfect place to get away and unwind. A large covered front porch with swing welcomes your arrival. Step up to the oversized second floor living space furnished with plenty of comfortable seating for your large family, and out onto a large second floor deck with sectional seating overlooking the pool below. Enjoy some splashing fun in the pool and a cookout on the pool deck surrounded by a lush tropical landscape of palms and bird of paradise. The Master Suite features a poster king sized bed and french doors that open to the deck, along with a large bath with whirlpool tub. Relax in style with hardwood and bamboo floors throughout the house. Two addition bedrooms each feature king sized beds. The kids can hang out in the den below which provides great sleeping space with two full-sized bunks and a full bathroom separate from the rest of the house. Cook up dinner "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen with window overlooking the front covered deck and preserve across the street. Be sure to bring your boat along to launch into the intracoastal waterway at the park right around the corner (1 mile) for a day of boating and fishing. The house is amazing and very Florida. It was quiet and close to everything. I loved the carport because I was able to park my trailer and not have to pay extra to put my trailer somewhere. Although the weather was a little cool, we were able to enjoy the pool one day. It is heated but was not warm enough. I wish the pool had a screen lanai over it because it was full of leaves. The house had everything the listing stated and more. It is the perfect house for a family getaway. The spacious layout was fantastic, the kitchen had everything for cooking and the dishes and silverware were were enough for us we were 8 people. The beds were comfortable and the linens were great. The pool area was so nice , the pool was heated for real and clean. The management were top notch and I felt they were available to me for any questions or help with anything. James from management was there when we arrived and he helped us get our things in the home, thanks James! We would return and recommend the home to other people. The location was excellent we actually walked to the beach and it was a short ride to St Augustine old town. One evening we took Uber , very convenient . Most of all, we loved the space, the pool, and the televisions in each room as advertised. However, I need to address three important issues to our stay.First, there was a significant mildew odor throughout the house. While some smell is typical for a beach rental, this level was unacceptable and could seriously affect guests staying longer.Second, the remote in the downstairs bedroom was non-functional. Initially, we thought it was a programming issue, but we quickly discovered it was due to dead batteries. It’s essential to have spare batteries available to avoid such inconveniences in the future.Finally, upon returning from a day out, we found that none of the televisions were operational. I reported the Wi-Fi being down, although our phones maintained connectivity. I was informed that there might have been a temporary outage due to storms, yet the issue persisted all night and past checkout without any further contact from our host.These factors considerably impacted our experience, and it’s crucial that they be addressed to ensure a more positive experience for future guests. ##### Willie H. Aug 8, 2024 Liked: Location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Great Layout and Outdoor Spaces The house was in a good location, quiet street, surrounded by nice overgrown vegetation which gave it a private feel when you spent time in the pool and on the various porches. Nice layout overall with a large kitchen/living room area on the main floor. Actual not as good as the pictures though. It is older and needs updating. We chose it partly for the bunkroom, but it turned out the set up was not as the pictures presented so we had to rethink sleeping arrangements. Also, the bunkroom is on the lower level, right at the front door, so it was uncomfortable having young children there. The pool was not cleaned until our third day there, and things were not as clean overall as they should have been. The pool was awesome. In the afternoon when the children napped - we took full advantage of the pool. We had a couple of small issues at check-in that were handled extremely fast!! The large great room and dining table made it a perfect place for us to all gather, and the seating areas around the porch, as well as the swing on the front porch, provided options to slip away from the group to do our devotions or just have some quiet time. It was close enough to walk or drive on the beach, and the pool was refreshing and relaxing. The house was just as described. Checkin and check out was very detailed and was sent timely. If a question or issue arose, a quick text with response addressed it. This is just a reminder to bring the bug spray because there were lots of Florida mosquitoes when we were sitting around the backyard or swimming. The cleaning was a 4 star inside and the pool wasn’t cleaned during our week. We have a pool and just skimmed it daily for the debris before getting in. We would stay here again. We had a wonderful visit at this home. We really enjoyed our stay there. We were also pleasantly surprised when we arrived and there were king size beds in every room upstairs instead of just the two king size beds as advertised. The living area was so spacious that our large family never felt crowded. There was plenty of seating for everyone to sit and watch movies and relax all at once. The outside deck was amazing, and we spent a lot of time out there, and the pool area was very like a private oasis! There were beach chairs available to take to the beach and even a wagon to carry them in if needed. The host, David, was always available when needed and got back us right away whenever we needed anything or had any questions. For example, the pool water was kind of chilly as we were there in late September, early October, and we had our 3yr old grandson with us. I reached out to David and asked about turning on the heater to the pool. He responded right away to let me know the details. Once we told him we would pay the extra cost he had someone at the house within a couple of hours to turn the heater on! There is a jetted tub in the master bedroom which was very relaxing and the bed was very comfortable. I can’t speak for the other beds, but the family didn’t complain so I’m assuming those beds were comfortable as well.
