This was a great find.. we did not have to move the car, everything is easy walking distance. The breakfast was fantastic and they kindly offered a special breakfast for my diabetic mom.. They also had special touches, wine, soda, water available for you to take, The best chocolate chip cookies and lavender bags for under your pillow. The bed very comfortable and spacious rooms. Husband and I have stayed in various B&Bs in St. Augustine. This was our first stay with Carriage Way but it will return. Our room was in the Centennial House across the street but didn't seem neglected at all. Though we do not drink wine, to see it along with soda and bottled water offered freely was unexpected. We did not take advantage of the provided games nor the dining table but did enjoy morning coffee on the sun porch before strolling around town. Three short blocks from historic downtown made it a perfect location. And did I mention the morning breakfast? Divine. Can't wait to go back! Couldn't ask for a better location, which included parking, a premium in the heart of the district! Sandy, the owner and our host, was lovely. The inn serene and hospitable, enhanced by thoughtful features and gestures like a cold, lavender-infused washcloth awaiting you after a hot day of strolling around the picturesque town; an assortment of hot and cold beverages including wine; house-made cookies. I had some reservations about being on the first floor with the main hall right outside our door but those were quickly dispelled when we discovered breakfast was served in the b&b across the street (also owned/operated by Sandy); so no traffic or noise to contend with, inside or out.
