Near: Amphitheatre, Historic Downtown, & Beach \*\*\*This home will be listed for sale Mid-April of 2026\. No showings will be scheduled during guest stays. When we are made aware of an offer with a closing date, we will inform guests asap. Once there is a closing date, guests who cancel their stay due to the sale of the house will be fully refunded.\*\*\* Our Sandy Feet Beach Retreat has a heated pool! This is island living at it's best! Spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located in the heart of Anastasia Island, only about 2 minutes away from the beach/pier, and about 5 minutes away from historical downtown St. Augustine. Our home has an in ground pool, fenced yard, circular driveway, updated bathrooms, stainless appliances, granite counter tops, and a large screened in porch. Fully renovated home with large yard for the kids. There is one smart TV in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in a king bedroom. There is not a light in the pool. The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled. The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins! The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself! Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house. If you have a large family and need a second location please inquire with the host about our other property that is nearby. The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup. We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. It is the perfect place for both. Large and roomy, very clean, it has a well appointed kitchen and beautiful outside area and pool. The layout is great for two or three couples. The house was clean and our hosts were always available for questions. The house is roomy with lots of beds, easy access to both downtown and the area with more chain stores and activities. We drove to the beach parking in about 2 minutes and didn’t have trouble finding parking which was a short walk to the ocean. The owners were very responsive and sent messages via text about check in as well as giving a website of suggestions. Everyone loved being able to bring our dogs along too. Our only recommendations would be to update some of the kitchen supplies (more food storage and sharper knives) and possibly add in some more living room couch seating in order to accommodate 10 people in a comfy seat. There also were 4 or so garbage cans all week in front of house. Front yard could get some love. Two of us are older, the hose in front is dangerous, tripping was a accident that almost happened. Inside decor and decoration was lovely. I especially liked the wall color. The ottoman was very dirty and could use a cleaning. Couch not as bad. Check out the dinning room wall paneling, needs a wash down. We had the master bedroom. Best mattress we have had! We had great sleep on it. Master bathroom great. Second bathroom didn’t seem finished. My daughter in law said room closest to front door was hot. Maybe a fan available in room? The outside patio was very nice. The ceiling was such a nice touch. The patio around the pool was top notch. We enjoyed the pool very much. Your location was perfect to get to the beach and Historic St.Augustine. Overall, you have a very nice place. A little more attention to unfinished areas and better outside maintenance, I the Mrs. would have felt better if these small things were addressed. Overall you have a very nice oasis. The pool was awesome and the fenced in backyard was done very well.
