One evening, we wondered out to the beach, which was just feet from our room, to watch the stars and listen to the surf. This place is all about the beach. In the morning, we opened the curtains to watch the sunrise over the ocean. We walked the beach until we were fatigued and still did not come to a barrier.
Very friendly staff, great room especially if you chose one with a hot tube. Walking distance from the beach and short drive to the state park and st augustine attractions. If you get the chance have diner in the Sunset Grill and try their award wining chowder. Highly recommend this hotel
Stayed for 7 nights while sightseeing in St Augustine in January. Very clean, comfortable room. Nice complimentary breakfast. Easy drive into the historic district and to shopping. Refrigerator and microwave allowed me to have a few light meals in my room. Very relaxing and quiet - that may change however during the summer.
The front desk manager was one of the friendliest people I've ever spoken with in a hotel. He laughed, smiled, and held a REAL short convo with me. Not small talk. That tiny factor made the stay so much better knowing real people worked there.
St. Augustine Beach is a small town 6 miles southeast of St. Augustine on Anastasia Island. Anastasia State Park is directly to the north. The town boasts miles of beaches. Local activities include golf and deep-sea fishing excursions. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm, north of town, was founded in 1893 and houses a variety of alligators and reptiles.
