Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was wonderful for our family of 7\. The house has been beautifully furnished and set up with everything you will need. The location is also what made this house special. The walks out into the water and exploring the tidal flats kept the children entertained for hours and hours. The large yard was great for frisbee and football catches. The island across the causeway provided great opportunities for light hiking. Maybe the most special part is the old granite quarry in the middle of the island. With its relatively warm water and large rocks for jumping, it was a magical place to spend time jumping, swimming, and floating! Also, being next to one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at was an added bonus. The owners of the Craignair Inn and Causeway Restaurant could not have been nicer. The food and drinks were some of the best that we have had anywhere! What made it more special was that they hosted a July 4th party on their lawn with their own fireworks. The one small thing to consider for large families is that it has only one bathroom. However, we knew that going in and managed it well with the kids. The tradeoff was definitely worth it!The location is also great because it is close to the Port Clyde Ferry if planning a trip to Monhegan Island. Grocery delivery is available from Rockland and plenty of great places to eat within 10-20 minutes! Lastly, the management company is superb. They are responsive to questions and helpful whenever you need it. They are just a quick phone call away.Thank you for helping to make our Maine vacation special. ##### John L.
