"Check-in was easy, with very complete advance instructions from our hosts. We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is spacious and in a beautiful location. The kitchen is nicely set up for use. The farm fresh eggs in the fridge made for two delicious breakfasts, and we very much enjoyed our gracious hosts’ tour of the working farm behind the house. An excellent place to spend a weekend. We recommend it highly! "
"I visit Springfield at least once a year, this is my second stay at the hartness house, I’ve stayed in the mansion and in the hotel, I have been very happy with both options. The mansion is stunning and enjoying a coffee and pastry in the mansion in the morning is lovely. I’m glad to see this historic building being taken care of so thoughtfully. "

"The house was just perfect for our family of six. It was cozy and welcoming; with all the essentials we needed. Everything worked perfectly and the house was warm when we arrived. The gas fireplace was a nice welcome after a day of skiing and the highlight was the hot tub! Unfortunately, the fire-pit was under a ton of snow so we could not use. Jake was very communicative and answered all our questions quickly. Note that a 4WD or AWD car is needed to get up the steep road up to the house. Would definitely book again next year!"
