Honestly it was so calm it was a vintage stay for me, I wanted something nice but historical and near the knitting factory and I was so happy with what I explored 🙌

A terrible place we waited around 1 hour to be checked in because their printer was broke and no one there to fix it until the service person showed in. This place should never have been called a Hotel, it is a Motel. Never Again

Hi Mark, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Yes, we are next to the tracks and the actual Steam Plant which yes, is located next to the railway. I found it interesting to learn the Steam Plant powered downtown Spokane from 1916 to 1986 so of course, the proximity of the hotel near the tracks is indicative of the need to be near the tracks for commerce. Look, if you are bougie, do not stay here. We stayed here one night because the Davenport did not have availability until the next day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property just seems suspect but it was fine. I’m bougie so I probably won’t be back. :). Be blessed everyone

The reviews on this property seem to be either love it or hate it. My kids loved the cool old vibes and that they showed the old Popeye movie on the building wall at night. We love that we could walk to pretty much everything including our basketball games at the nearby high school. Food, riverfront, movies, downtown area all walking distance. They’ve updated the rooms, but cleaning needs to improve. Hair all over bathroom floor and toothpaste on sink faucet was pretty gross. Breakfast was basic, but adequate and staff was super friendly. Train seems to ba a complaint but honestly we didn’t even notice it at night. Homeless people kick around from time to time but we didn’t feel unsafe. Parking was well lit and felt secure. Given the opportunity we would definitely stay again.

Please know this is not our norm, nor is it our intention. We respect and understand the need for service, safety and cleanliness and I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations on cleanliness. When you return, please do reach out immediately if you need assistance as we would have happily come to your room and cleaned. Regarding the train, you are right - people either love it or hate it and I'm so happy the train didn't affect your stay! We look forward to having you back anytime you are in town. Very loud all night. Train goes by multiple times in the night. They did provide ear plugs. I forgot a phone charger and they had one I was able to borrow.

Check in was bit of a problem due to printer issues. There were few of us just waiting patiently for at least 20-30 mins. No apology. Customer service at the check in was not so nice. But then she’s also very young. So that’s there too. Why are they even using laser printer that’s worst than people’s home printer!! Seriously. And breakfast wasn’t what we expected. Quite sad to be honest. Might as well say. First come first serve. There were pretty much gone around 9:10am when it ends at 9:30am. No one comes to check and refill. Rooms were clean enough but not much counter space, I was using the iron board as one. There weren’t many outlet to plug things. So bring extension if you’re staying at this hotel.

Do not stay here unless you are deaf. The hotel provides ear plugs as an indication of the noise volume. The trains are on the other side of the parking lot and run several times an hour, but worse the walls are so paper thin you can hear your neighbor peeing. The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was well stocked, but the hotel is no more than two stars at its cleanest.

The property and overall rooms were clean and fine for a quick short stay. However, if you’re someone who needs a quiet place to sleep this is not the place for you. If you sleep well listening to trains blaring past your room all night then you’ll love it here. Staff were great and friendly and rooms were decent. Wouldn’t stay here again for the noise factor.

I was really surprised about the Popeye show on the wall. Otherwise, the staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast wasn't the greatest.

This property is conveniently located, has updated rooms and is clean. However, it sits 50ft from VERY ACTIVE train tracks. The trains aren’t too bad during the day but they completely barrage you at night. It’s loud and thundering and constant. I haven’t been woken up that much in the night since having a baby with colic. And I’d rather deal with that. I will never stay here again and if you decide to, make sure you’re a knocked out heavy sleeper or wear ear plugs.

The room smelled musty. Actually changed rooms because first was too stinky. In the morning breakfast was incredibly paltry. No hot water for oatmeal. Two total breakfast sandwiches. Stale english muffins. Three total individual cereals, but no milk. They were out. Only benefit was it was cheap and had parking. Homeless guy under the train tracks screaming a good part of the trip (realize they cannot control this- but just FYI). Train was loud outside hotel and went by multiple times. Would not stay there again.
