This is an historic property with just two levels of accomodations. We stayed in the Presidential Suite just because. It had a living room complete with chairs, reading lamps, couch that is also a bed, large fridge, microwave and keurig - plus the delightful fireplace. The bedroom is behind French doors and is spacious with a king size bed, closet with extra linens, two robes and a safe. The bathroom is off the bedroom and is large with plenty of towels and a jacuzzi soaking tub. The 12 foot ceilers and many large windows with blinds were wonderful to watch the coming and going of folks. It sits across the street from the Fox theater so is very convenient for shows. There are many dining options within walking distance including the Gilden Unicorn in the basement - which the elevator will take you right to it. The staff were all very friendly and greeted us at every meeting. On the 2nd floor the center is a huges commong area - lounge - parlor with several seating area, antique rugs and furniture and also a huge fireplace. We spent much time there trying out all the seats. It also offers a drink area with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and in the morning - muffins. This was a surprise. Even tho it is only one level up from the road, I was not bothered by traffic noise. The windows are fairly sound proof which was a surprise. the floors are original so there was some creaky floor boards from the 3rd floor occupants, but not to distracting. 3rd floor next visit - it may be haunted!
