This is an old but very thoroughly and impressively updated and well run motel located half a block from the most high end hotel in Spokane. The location is convenient, the center of downtown, but there are issues with traffic noise and a little of an edgy urban ambience on nearby streets after dark. I felt safe and secure in my comforable and clean room. The bathroom was modern and clean, the bed and bedding were nice and the carpet seemed new. I appeciated that the room was free of odors, which are sometimes evident in older properties. I really enjoyed my free guest privileges at the nice gym, located at a sister property less than a block away Best of all the front desk staff were helpful, welcoming , cheerful and professional throughout my 2 day stay, as were the staff at the adjoining lounge.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The parking lot is on the smaller side so if you have a large vehicle it might be difficult to park. The address they have you checking in at in the app is not correct. The hotel has spoken with Expedia about it but Expedia has not changed it yet. Quiet little spot that is hidden but close to everything.

The staff was great, very polite and responsive. The motel grounds overall has seen better days, but fairly clean. There are super steep steps that can’t possibly meet code and a questionable elevator that I avoided. They allow pets, which is one reason I stayed. The pet area is a half block away, across the street. Not super convenient. The rooms were very clean, very basic and a bit tired. My biggest complaints were limited parking and noise. Parking is primarily in a public lot across the street. There was a concert the first night I was there I was lucky to get a spot. If it was full - too bad, I’d have to figure it out on my own. Not a deal breaker but DEFINITELY something I’d like to know ahead of time. The most challenging part was the noise. (The ear plugs sitting on the table in the room should have tipped me off.) the motel is right downtown so there was plenty of street noise that went right through the walls. Its a motel so no extra buffer. The first night the garbage and recycling truck came at around midnight (why?!) so lots of beeping and glass clashing and breaking - as loud as if I there was no wall. The second night (Saturday night) there were sirens and cars drag racing (or something that sounded like it) until after 2am. I paid about $140/night so maybe a tad high for the offerings. I will be checking out other options next time I come to town.

Dear Marci, thank you for taking the time to share such a thorough review of your experience. Yes, residing in the city brings forth its challenges in traffic noise and normal conditions of business, like garbage removal. We understand completely but we have no recourse or control over the pick up times or the street noise - believe me, we have reached out to the City to address timing and it simply is what it is, for us too. Given our proximity to the entertainment district and to our Sapphire Lounge, we really are an ideal place to stay when attending a show downtown. Regarding your comment on code, please know we have an annual fire inspection so we are absolutely in compliance otherwise we would have been told what to modify by the fire department. If they raise concerns, we immediately address because your safety is as important to us as it is to you. I do hope to see you back soon. Until then, thanks again and be well.

Called ahead before making the reservation to see if early check in was possible. Was told it should not be a problem, but there is an extra charge and the earliest we can check in is 12, which I was fine with paying since we were flying in early and had a wedding to go to at 2 and normal check in doesn’t start until 4. I book the hotel and call back to let them know this and am told it should not be a problem and they put a note on my reservation. We get there to check in and are told by the rude kid at the front desk that no rooms are available and early check in is not guaranteed. We had to get ready for a wedding in another hotel bathroom! The room itself was fine. You hear some street traffic but they have a bar open at night where you can get food which wasn’t bad. If you need to get in your room early, go somewhere else where it is more “guaranteed”. Luckily we didn’t pay the early check in fee so that’s the only plus.

Unfortunately, the hotel was full, staffing was a challenge and we simply did not have an available room with your room type requested available. Check out is at 11AM and as you know we were full but I know the Housekeepers and the Front Desk really tried hard to accommodate you. Given your experience, we have mandated a new policy that we simply cannot confirm an early check in until the day of arrival because both occupancy and labor are key variables in being able to fulfill your request. I'm so very sorry that we impacted you this way. I know it must have been so hectic for you. Please know your experience was absolutely not our intention and I do hope you give us an opportunity to earn your business back. Until then, please take care and hopefully your wedding was as wonderful as you would have expected it to be. Take care!

hot water pipe made loud groaning noise whenever i used it. parking is limited. Room next to mine had loud occupants several nights in a row. room was very clean, staff was great and resteraunt on site was fantastic

The room was as advertised. However, the parking situation was inadequate. I parked in the designated overflow and my truck had the glass shattered and the interior was vandalized. The hotel gave me $10. I won't be back.
