Updated, with hardwood floors, a fun retro kitchen, 55" 4k tv with bluray/roku and a king bed with memory foam mattress. Walk across the street to coffee, sushi, ice cream, bakery, cafes and much more. A perfect landing spot in Spokane. Lots of natural light and ambiance. Work desk in bedroom. Waited an hour, and still couldn't get in. However our host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Issues included no dresser in the bedroom, lightbulb out in bedroom, dark under-stairs closets, plugs not working in bathroom, very slippery bathtub. Since we are older this was a problem and had to buy a bathmat just to take showers. No rail on front steps (again a challenge for us). Biggest issue was that the laundry facilities were not in the unit. Had to go to a building behind the house into the basement where the cleaning people did their laundry. Did not want to leave our clothes there so ended up taking them to our family's home. Not a place we would stay again despite the hosts being extremely responsive and nice. Great little places to eat nearby and nice neighbor to go on walks in. House was sweet and charming. Unfortunately, because we were here on business and are very dependent on good internet, we will probably only return if it was only for pleasure not business. The internet is shared by multiple tenants and we were booted off repeatedly and when it did work it was very slow. We had to go to McDonalds and Starbucks multiple times to use their internet. The other suggestion is to put a full length mirror somewhere in the house. The 24 hours before check in, we typically get an email with the particulars and so in the beginning he lack of communication was frustrating and they referred us to the website and the info we needed was not there. So overall it is a darling place. Internet was an issue and the other suggestions are just that but we did enjoy it. ##### Brenda B. Séjour de 9 nuits en août 2019 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Alison A. 8 juill. 2019 Points forts : Propreté #### Quaint, quiet community The property is older, clean and a short drive to downtown Spokane as well as Idaho. GPS will get you close to the property but the apartment is tucked behind the actual street. Access to the property is on 14th Avenue down Hawthorne Place which dead ends. It took driving back and forth a couple times before driving behind a shop and seeing the apartment from the back parking lot. More specific details on arriving to the property would be helpful for future guests. Some facial details in the ceiling bathroom could have been cleaned and removed making it not so much of an eyesore. The foam mattress was very firm but doable with the spare blanket folded and laid on top. All listed amenities were available except the code for the laundry room did not work which wasn’t a deal breaker. The carport was suitable for two compact cars or a larger vehicle and a compact but parking in front of the property was ample. We enjoyed our stay making this property comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. ##### Alison A. Séjour de 3 nuits en juin 2019 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Amanda C. 31 mai 2019 #### Pleasant visit to Spokane's South Hill / Manito Park We traveled to Spokane with another couple and stayed in this duplex. Location was great and the property had all amenities advertised. Location was pretty quiet too. We were comfortable, but some things to note is that the bathroom is in the bedroom which made it a little hard for sharing with another couple. The pull out is also a single bed, not ideal for sharing with two people. Parking in front of the property was competitive but there is proper street parking not far away. ##### Amanda C.
