Mespelbrunn Castle is a late-medieval/early-Renaissance moated castle on the territory of the town of Mespelbrunn, between Frankfurt and Würzburg, built in a tributary valley of the Elsava valley, within the Spessart forest. It is a popular tourist attraction and has become a famous Spessart landmark.

« Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Der Portierdienst war sehr gut, obwohl wir sehr spät in der Nacht ankamen. Das Zimmer war sauber, aufgeräumt und hatte sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Äußerst empfehlenswert. »

« We spent two nights in the Guesthouse during a family week-end in Speyer. The hotel is clean and simple, our room was in another building very well situated near the old tower (Pörtel) and just 5 minutes walk away from the main house. The hotel staff is fantastic, very friendly and efficient. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel is a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. We definitely recommend this place. »

« We had a lovely stay - the room was perfectly appointed with a comfortable bed and mini kitchen. We spent every evening drinking the winery’s excellent whites out on our balcony with a view of the hills just beyond the little town’s steeple. The proprietors were wonderful. They made us feel comfortable and welcome with our very limited German, and breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable every morning. »
