The hotel is beautifully designed throughout. During our visit, the hotel was undergoing construction, which slightly affected our first impression. From the second you walk in the door you are treated so kindly. There is a level of personalization, hospitality and thoughtfulness that I have never experienced, and it was such a highlight during my first trip to Barbados! Everything from the friendly and fun staff, to the comfortable rooms and interior decor, it is a true gem. It is the type of place that I would wish to visit for many years to come as a tradition with family and friends. It never disappeared even when we changed the rooms. The hotel has too many restrictions for us. We had a meeting with our attorney as we were planning to make an investment on the island, and as he had to bring along his son of 3 years, we were not allowed to stay inside the hotel. The meeting then had to take place in the parking lot outside the hotel... We were quite shocked by this unnecessary rule, especially taken into consideration that some of the male guests were allowed to enter the restaurant for dinner wearing sleveless shirts.
