Visit the local towns for shopping antiques and local crafts. There are so many day trips to explore. The Yadkin Valley Wineries are plentiful and near! Grayson Highlands offers insane mountain views and wild horses. Stone Mountain has waterfalls, hiking and rock climbing. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a must drive and has the best hiking and views on the East coast! Bring your bicycle or rent one and ride the Creeper Trail from Damascus. Visit local music and craft festivals, the bluegrass music trail, fiddlers conventions, antique car cruise ins, mud bogs, rodeos, fall fairs, Christmas tree farms, pumpkin patches, locally grown produce stands and so much more this area has to offer!
