The Hotel has 3 different small restaurants that are open to the public providing an option of having casual dining on the water or a quick drink at a bar. The Claremont Hotel\`s website has more information if interested. With our guest\`s privacy being of the utmost importance, we have established a contactless self check-in process. We will send you detailed instructions on how to access the home at the time of the reservation. However, if there is anything you need or of concern during your stay with us, we can be easily contacted. Tucked along the southwestern shores of Mount Desert Island, Southwest Harbor is a charming fishing village known for its working waterfront, stunning harbor views, and laid-back atmosphere. Often considered the quieter counterpart to Bar Harbor, this coastal town offers a more relaxed and authentic Maine experience while still providing easy access to Acadia National Park. Home to a thriving boatbuilding industry, Southwest Harbor boasts a strong maritime heritage, with local shipyards crafting some of the finest yachts in the world. The town’s picturesque harbor is dotted with lobster boats, sailboats, and waterfront restaurants serving up fresh-caught seafood. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore, from the scenic trails of Western Mountain and Beech Cliffs to the serene beauty of Seawall and Echo Lake. The town also serves as a gateway to Great Cranberry and Little Cranberry Islands, accessible by ferry for those looking to explore Maine’s rugged offshore beauty. This is an older home that is a cottage style with no insulation to keep Heat in most of the house except for the Kitchen, Living Room #1, Bedroom #1, & Bathroom #1\.
