The beaches of Oak Island are just a short drive over the ICW. (3.2 miles to Oak Island Pier). Par 3 Golf is available less than a mile away, and Oak Island Golf is just 3 miles, by Caswell Beach. There are many area restaurants, but the condo is located next door to the very highly rated restaurant, Joseph's Italian Bistro. Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is a 2 minute stroll, with sunset views from their expanded deck and Tiki Bar. A 6 mile drive takes you to historic downtown Southport, where you can amble through the many Boutiques & Antique Shops, Southport Market, Bakeries, Craft Beer and Wine Bars. Visit the Maritime Museum, or lounge in a swing chair on the lawn while watching the Cape Fear River boat traffic. Take a sunset cruise...highly recommended, and maybe a Ghost Tour in Southport! If you are a thrill seeker, you might be tempted to try a skydive experience, which is available 5 minutes away. Rental options for boats, bikes and kayaks are also nearby. Wonderful views and cozy porch overlooking the water. Comfy bed! Host was so easy to work with and very welcoming. Two restaurants next door and both were delicious. Super close to downtown Southport and Oak Island - a great location to stay for anyone who wants some variety. Plus the view of the marina from the deck was so pretty; we enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We also ate at Joseph’s and Rusty Hooks - great food at both! The property was exceptionally clean and Gemma thought of everything, from a sweet welcome basket to extra bath towels to beach towels. It was also very well stocked.
