Nice hotel. Great location.

Hotel location is beautiful. We loved how serene and peaceful the Inn is. However, we stayed in the waterfront building and it needs updating. The rooms were just ok. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Church camp

Posted 28-Aug-2015
Pros: The staff was very nice.
Cons: Tear it down and start over.
Location: I did have two nice meals in town at Tuggs.
It was too rustic for me. The staff was helpful and pleasant, but the facility was VERY OLD! Roaches in the shower... musty smelling rooms... not bar... no restaurant, except for a old gathering room, where they served a bad complementary breakfast. (dry waffles, no eggs, bad coffee and biscuits and gravy that was uneatable) I wanted to experience Maine without being in a chain hotel... BAD IDEA!

Nice hotel in Southport

Posted 28-Aug-2015
Pros: Location, Amenities, Privacy
Cons: Wi-fi connection, bathroom
Location: Very secluded but yet minutes away from the touristy areas of Boothbay Harbor. Great food and shops just a drive away. Waterfront view is nice.
This hotel was much nicer than expected. The room was nice and spacious and very quite. Although the waterfront view was nice, looking down at the murky harbor water was a bit disappointing. The location was very peaceful and the grounds were well cared for. We enjoyed the fact that this hotel seems a bit secluded from the more touristy areas of the island, but yet we were just minutes away from Boothbay harbor and shops. As others stated, the wi-fi was very slow and sometimes non-existent.

Beautiful, quiet place to relax

Posted 22-Aug-2015
Just returned from our first stay - we will be back. The location is gorgeous, classic Maine, and there is no need to leave the resort, with a pristine pool under the pines and canoes and kayaks readily available to explore the rocky, rambling coastline. The resort layout is more compact than expected; the breakfast is hearty but bland. I could not have had a more restorative experience. Sit on your balcony, listen to the birds, watch for loons and passing boats. If you love Maine I can't see not loving this place.

Nice hotel w/ many amenitites

Posted 11-Aug-2015
Pros: We liked everything - the view, pool, kayaking, fishing, location, and miniature golf.
Cons: Breakfast could have better fruit - but the breakfast was a typical hot hotel buffet. (It does have great hours - 7:30-10:30).
Location: There is a lot of inexpensive seafood in town. There are some sandy beaches close by and other tourist spots (light house etc.)
Room was nice - clean - updated w/ view of the ocean. Pool was recently redone - hot tub was nice (if you like hot tubs). There is a miniature golf course, basketball court and little fresh water pond w/ lots of 12 inch bass.

Resort Needs Resources

Posted 4-Aug-2015
Pros: Location. View.
Cons: Wifi. Get some.
Location: Wonderful water sports; great restaurants. Cute town.
Free Wi-Fi is a misnomer. You don't get charged for it, because there is no Wi-Fi. Our room door was so warped, it wouldn't close unless slammed so hard, the cheap window blinds fell down. Virtually no effort to make the walkways and patios cleaned. Very disappointing.

Enjoyed Our Balcony!

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Great view from the balcony, very private. Breakfast had a good deal of variety. Obvious that the owners take pride in the property. We would stay there again.
