Located in the heart of the quiet and quaint Southport historic district, this cozy room offers a unique experience to step back in time. There is so much to see and enjoy in historic Southport that you could park your car at the hotel for your entire stay and walk everywhere and get to experience a lot! You can take your own leisurely tour of the historic neighborhood that surrounds this hotel and view all the interesting fisherman's cottages and Victorian Era homes with plaques dating all the way back to the 1700s and 1800s. At the same time, you can take in the spectacular views of the mouth of the Cape Fear River and long range views of Bald Head Island and Caswell Beach with the Oak Island Lighthouse. Little beach, pool and lucky there was live music on the deck the 2nd night. I would only add they should have a wine key in the room. Thankfully I keep one in my car. And something a little more comfortable and taller if they are allowed, on the balcony. So you can see the water. That’s my comfort and designer side coming out. Easy upgrade. If you are looking for someplace clean, you should definitely stay here, it was spotless. We loved the location, we were able to walk to everything in Southport and its just a short drive to Caswell Beach. My only issue was there was limited cell service and no secure internet.
