Many have called Southern Pines Retreat home throughout its nearly 100 year history. Built in 1928, this Georgian-style home will offer you, your family, your friends, and your furry companions an opportunity to experience the historic charm of Southern Pines and the surrounding areas. The home is located conveniently on the west end of downtown Southern Pines, walkable to all of the dining, shopping, and recreation that Broad Street has to offer, including: Red's Corner outdoor bar and food truck plaza - 1/4 mile Rec Room Arcade Bar - 1/4 mile Hatchet Brewing Company - 1/2 mile Newly-Renovated Southern Pines Golf Club - 1/2 mile Heart of Downtown Southern Pines - 3/4 mile The Southern Pines Retreat is a 4 Bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom home set in a quaint residential area of Southern Pines. Some of the oldest and largest longleaf pines and magnolia trees in the area are here in the yard for you to admire. Our favorite aspects of The Southern Pines Retreat: \- The fully-fenced in backyard with covered dining, grill, and hot tub \- The old style architecture of the home truly makes you feel like you're stepping back in time! \- The laundry room with built-in dog wash station is a perfect home away from home for your furry friends. \- Open concept kitchen and dining areas allow the conversation to flow freely between spaces Here are just some of the unique features of this stunning property: \- Backyard with room to play, cook, eat, and relax \- Large deck in the backyard overlooking a small grassy area and the hot tub \- Updated master bathroom \- Spacious living room with vintage fireplace and mantle \- Six (6) total beds: 2 King, 1 Queen, 1 full, 2 twin \- Spectrum Internet with wi-fi throughout the home and Spectrum streaming on all TVs \- Large 6-seat hot tub \- Large driveway with room for several vehicles We offer laundry detergent, a fully stocked kitchen including cookware, spices and pantry items, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and toilet paper and paper towels to get you started. We do not allow events or parties of any kind. We have a strict maximum of 10 guests. Please, under no circumstances, can there be more than 10 guests in the home at a time. We will consider your 4 legged canine family members on a case-by-case basis and a $200 pet fee. Please tell us about your pup. We will consider up to 2 dogs and kindly ask that no dogs be allowed in or on any of the furniture and kenneled/crated if left home alone. Please note - we can not accept your feline family members as guests at this time. No cats allowed in the home. These issues included a dirty/ stained couch , rusted outdoor gas grill, low water pressure, and issues with the refrig water filter and kitchen sink. And overall the house needed a deep clean. We spent the weekend playing golf and just hanging out. The whole experience from beginning to end from the VRBO standpoint was nothing short of exceptional. The house was clean and in top shape. Everyone had their own space and we never felt crowded. It is walking distance to downtown, delicious eateries and the children’s park. The backyard is perfect for unwinding and hanging out. Home is in a great location - very close to historic downtown Southern Pines. Everything nearby. Pinehurst golf courses and Mid-Pines, Pine Needles and Southern Pines all within 5 minutes. Super nice to have separate bedrooms and bathrooms for a family and additional rooms in the house to spread out if needed. Nice fenced-in courtyard in the back of the house for a family pet. Beds were comfortable and kitchen/laundry were well equipped. Home property manager was very quick to respond to some basic questions and assist us on our vacation. ##### Andrew K. Perfect setup for a family with children. We had three generations with us for four days. Large fenced yard for kids to run and play. We brought board games and balls for outside play. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Home is on a road with occasional traffic noise. A lot of attention paid to guests’ comfort. House was in pristine condition upon arrival. We loved how charming and well kept the house was. Our two year old son enjoyed spending time outside in the yard.
