Great location, odd layout
Our "Basic double room" was pretty cramped. Tiny sink with no soap in the WC, with full sink and soap just about a meter from the very creaky bed. Odd layout and not the most comfortable room we've ever stayed in, BUT if you had a larger room, it would be better. It's clean and the staff are helpful. The location is good, with a ski school downstairs and slopes right outside the door. The restaurant in the hotel serves tasty food for all 3 meals. Wifi is good and you get the very useful Hochschwarzwald card!

Hotel is very unique. The staff were very hospitable. We were on third floor had view of snow tipped mountain tops and ski lift. The restaurant downstairs is rustic and homey. Hotel is about a 30 drive from Hinterzarten if you are planning a trip to Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market. It was late when we arrived staff said whatever we wanted to eat they would make for us, they were genuine and wanted to make sure our visit was comfortable. Very happy with our stay here.

Room with a view and amazing drive getting there.
We just stopped there on our way to another location but what an experience. It is located in the mountains and the drive was amazing in itself. The view from the hotel was amazing and the host was more than helpful in figuring out the local area.
