Top Southampton County Hotel Reviews

Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront

10/10 Excellent

"I came for my high school reunion. Our banquet hall was nice and the food was really good. I spent an extra night and got to check out the restaurant. It was good and the drinks were excellent. I sat outside and the patio was comfortable and attractive. My waitress was great. My hotel room over looked the water area and that was nice. The room was pretty and comfortable. Overall it was a great 2 nights, I would definitely go back."

Baymont By Wyndham Emporia Va

8/10 Good

"For a 2 star hotel, it was very clean and great price. Bed was comfortable with what appeared to be brand new sheets. Bathroom was very clean. Chair in room looked very old. Breakfast was all carbs but waffles were good. Coffee also good. For a 2 star hotel I rate it a 4.5. Note: if it was a 4 star hotel I would have rated it a 2."

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott - Emporia

8/10 Good

"The pool was already closed when we arrived. Handicap parking was somewhat limited… all spaces were full on the frontside. We had to park on the side and navigate our way through from there. The lady at the front desk in the morning was a bit rude and wouldn’t look up to process our check out. After standing for several minutes without as much as a “one moment please” I decided to leave our keys on the counter and leave."

Smithfield Station

10/10 Excellent

"This is my third stay and it just keeps getting better! I was in town to attend the Princess Buffet with my granddaughters which happened to be located in the hotel's restaurant. Whoever organized this event did an amazing job! The decorations, food and treats for the young princesses were wonderful and well thoughout. The best feature was the very talented young women dressed as Disney pricesses who sang and greeted each girl at their table to chat. That being said, my room was fresh and clean as usual and my granddaughter enjoyed looking at the boats from the balcony. Check in was easy and all the staff I met was very friendly and helpful. The Smithfield Station is very accomodating and perfectly located near all the wonderful attractions of the town of Smithfield - you wil not be disappointed!"
