« We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. « Cadre bucolique, vieille ferme du 18ème que Sir George et Lady Caroline ouvrent au public pour des séjours de détente. La grange a été transformée en chambres d'hôtes, décors et tailles différents, mais toutes très jolies, confortables avec salle de bains modernes. Le plancher grince parfois un peu beaucoup, mais cela nous rappelle l'authenticité du lieu. Vue sur le jardin et les nombreuses fleurs, les oiseaux, volailles en liberté: un vrai petit coin de paradis! Sur demande, Lady Caroline...

« This shepherd's hut is in a very remote area. Some difficulty traversing the narrow country roads to get there. The view was lovely and the host friendly and accomodating. The bed was high and we, in our mid seventies, had to assist each other in and out each time. All in all, despite the wet, windy weather, we had a sheperd's hut experience which we could not have in Canada. I think it would have been a nice area to enjoy in warmer, more pleasant weather. »
