"I was originally going to book a hotel near Boat Ave, I'm so glad I did not. On the way to Bang Tao from the airport, we drove past this area and it is not very pleasant. The drive from the airport to BWP takes 40 minutes and it is not a smooth ride. BWP is in an excellent position on the beach. Opposite there are 3 reasonable restaurants, a 7/11, money exchange, several atm's, several massage salons and a pharmacy.
