Perfect for a low key couples getaway. The view in the back is gorgeous of the ski mountain, and fire pit was great in the evening. The owner was so helpful and kind throughout the process and weekend. Ran into difficulties getting help from the booking site originally, but once the owner was involved it was a breeze. It reminded us of the first place we rented together as a couple and it was such an amazing place. The little house is extremely bright and has such large personality for a small place. The kitchenette is great for prepping basic things to eat. WiFi and tv were a nice touch too. The bathroom is an excellent size with a beautiful custom built in shower. The fire pit area was one of our favorite spots by far. We enjoyed the view of the mountain while soaking up the afternoon sun during our late winter stay. It is very close to a little General Store to get coffee and snacks. Its only a 10 minute drive to get to the Woodstock main street. Neighborhood is quiet and the fire pit was lovely to sit around at night and enjoy the quiet. There was also a cute little Farmer's Market in the ski parking lot that was only a 5 minute walk to on Sunday. Dec 4, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A perfect winter getaway My husband and I Stayed for 2 nights, and the cottage experience was so lovely! We woke up to 3 inch of snow the morning of our departure, but we were grateful that the plow truck plowed around our car around 530am, and the host left a shovel, car brush, driveway salt to ensure we had everything we needed. Communicating with host/manager was occasionally tricky when AT the cabin- the wifi at the cottage was usually working, but the cell service was so low that once in a while, I got "failure to send text" alerts. Fortunately, we had little need to reach out during our stay ❤️ would happily return to this tiny cabin! ##### Rebecca R. Jul 19, 2023 #### Darling little gem This property had such a pretty setting. Although it sat at the bottom of a ski slope, we enjoyed this Gem in the summer months. The grounds of the property are quite large and you got the feeling it was all part of your backyard. Also, we had the unfortunate luck of visiting Woodstock during a total town shutdown due to a water main break. This meant there were no restaurants open for business. The host of this property recognized our situation and cordially offered the use of her own personal kitchen, porch and barbecue. If you are a party of two who don’t feel the need for a large fancy hotel but appreciate a clean and freshly updated accommodation, then this serene little gem will check all your boxes. Nov 10, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Great spot but there were issues 1\. Very poor internet connection. It disconnected constantly. We could not get the TV to work, and there is no phone service except through the internet. That made the troubleshooting very hard for the problem we had in the middle of the night (see #2) 2\. An inaccessible smoke detector went off in the middle of the night. We called the "host," who is not local. They tried to get the local service to respond. The local service did not pick up. We ended up having to put a soft on its end and stand on the top of that to access the inaccessible attic space where the smoke detector was. This was unsafe and unreasonable. We were told we would receive financial compensation for the disruption and unsafe condition but haven't heard back since. ##### Pam J.
