Challenge your friends or kids to a spirited game of ping pong, darts, foosball or PacMan in the renovated space. "Carolyn by the Sea" has been meticulously remodeled and decorated and features custom art, hand-painted surfboards, and mosaics throughout the house. Roomy and comfortable, the upstairs features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and large ceiling fans. Want adults in one living room and the kids in another? That's possible with two separate living areas; one upstairs and one downstairs, giving everyone ample room to enjoy different venues, games, and activities. Each living area has comfortable large couches and recliners for your group, along with large TVs equipped with Rokus and Spectrum Cable TV. Bring your Nintendo Switch and game on with the wall-mounted docks hooked up to the TVs. (You need to bring your own Switch). The downstairs area even has its own mini fridge and bar area. Dance, sing, or simply enjoy listening to your favorite tunes in the upstairs living room, backyard, front porch, and master bedroom with a Bluetooth-enabled sound system. Not only is it fully stocked with all the basics - pots, pans, utensils, microwave, dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances, you'll also find wonderful extras such as an InstaPot, Vitamix blender, air fryer and Keurig coffee machine. The lovely quartz countertops and large island are beautifully framed by brilliant teal blue glass tiles. The dining area features a custom-made table with comfortable seating for 6 with two additional barstools at the kitchen bar counter. Gorgeous! Outdoors you'll find a private oasis filled with palms, floral tropical plants, and a private chilled heated pool surrounded by a stamped concrete patio. Sit back and relax on the new high-end Berlin Garden lounge chairs or cozy up by the propane fire pit. While grilling, enjoy playing Cornhole along the back of the house or play fetch with your pup. This poolside outdoor dining area is just waiting for you to enjoy a meal prepared on the propane grill. Sip a cocktail or enjoy a meal as you watch the sunsets and listen to your tunes on the large, beautifully decorated, upstairs covered front porch. If you need to get away for some peaceful quiet time to relax or read, take a seat in the comfortable Adirondack chairs in the quaint, quiet, and fully shaded sitting area downstairs. Lush plants, painted surfboard art, and custom mosaic tiles embedded into the flooring add to the tranquil atmosphere. If you need a big screen, in addition to the two large TVs in the living rooms, each bedroom has its own 43 inch Samsung smart TV that is loaded with the Spectrum app --- Perfect for days or nights when you just want to stay inside. At the end of the day it's time to relax and rest in one of the three beautifully decorated bedrooms. The upstairs primary bedroom features a private bath with shower, a luxurious comfy queen bed and a romantic electric fireplace. There is even a work desk with extra USB plugs and surge-protected power for those that choose to "work from anywhere". The second upstairs bedroom with a queen bed overlooks the backyard pool and shares a bathroom with a shower with the open kitchen/living area. Check in process and communication with property management was excellent. They were very attentive and helpful with all questions and requests. The house has everything! Beautiful home 1/2 block walk to the beach. The home was well stocked and well maintained with great, loving attention to details. The pool was in great condition and there were a lot of pool and beach toys in the large laundry room (along with a fun ping pong table). Oct 28, 2023 #### Perfect Week at the Beach We had a perfect vacation at SPI and a big part of our fun happened at this beach house. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at on the island. Our family loved taking evening dips in the gorgeous pool and relaxing in the lovely living spaces at Carolyn by the Sea after a long day at the beach or exploring local shops and attractions. The home is beautiful indoors and out. In addition to being very clean it was well appointed. There is pretty much anything you could need in the kitchen and in the garage for outdoor activities. Apr 24, 2024 #### New favorite place to stay at spi My family and I had a great time at Carolyn by the sea. My mom is now getting speaker set up In her house in the same way. The rest of us were amazed by how much the home had to offer from the chairs, ping pong table, ice chest to things that we brought and didn't need like all the charges and beach toys. The house is perfect for a family vacation, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax. We stayed with my Wife, son, and parents, and there was something for each of us to enjoy. The house itself is beautifully maintained and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the ocean every day. The outdoor space is fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings on the patio, soaking in the coastal breeze. One of the highlights is how quiet and peaceful the area feels despite being close to all the local attractions. It really is a home away from home. We're already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on South Padre Island. This beach house has become our all-time favorite! BACK AGAIN! Gorgeous place and pool area, super cute decor, well-stocked, clean and quiet! It was a perfect get-away before the Christmas holiday --- enjoying long walks on the beach every sunrise with our dogs in shorts and flip flops. Only a few minutes from the house. Nov 6, 2023 #### Amazing Stay We went to SPI in person for check in and as we walked through the door we were greeted with a “Hello” and a smile. Check in process was quick and simple. The gentleman at the counter gave us restaurant recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all turned out to be amazing places to eat. We had to contact them about keypad door access issues and pool heater reset and they responded immediately! Great rental management company, the house was fully stocked and homey and our vacation was amazing even know the weather didn't cooperate. We highly recommend! ##### Angela F. We have absolutely fallen in love with Carolyn by the sea! Very clean, fun décor, gorgeous pool and outdoor living spaces. And the beach is so close. This was our first trip since the beach re-nourishment project. The beach is now massive. We enjoyed taking our fur babies on a walk every morning as we watched beautiful sunrises. Then we sat on the front porch and watched all the hummingbirds. What a special treat. Met so many friendly people, too. One of our all-time best vacations! We will be back! ##### Alfie R. This was by far one of the best properties we have stayed in on a vacation! There was so much space, which was great since tropical storm Alberto kept us indoors more than anticipated. The kids were back and forth between playing ping pong and cornhole, to one of the two separate living areas, to the pool when the rain let up. I can't imagine being in a hotel room during that time. The walk to the beach was so easy. The first morning there we called the office with an A/C problem and they were there right away to fix it. Oct 19, 2023 #### Real Beach Gem! My friends, my husband and I enjoyed everything Carolyn's had to offer for our vacation. It was clean, roomy, comfortable, and very well stocked in various ways. Items in the garage for your beach days. Games to play on a rainy day or at night. Hummingbirds to watch while drinking coffee on the front porch. We cooked several meals and had all of the cookware and utensils needed to do so. The backyard is its own little paradise and we loved being out there during the evenings. Beautiful place! It has a lovely pool and roomy yard with lounge chairs and tables. Lots of spots to enjoy a morning coffee. The house feels loved - they've put a lot of time into decorating and stocking/labeling everything you need. We appreciate the fact that everything was kept so clean and organized. When we were tired from the beach for the day, the living room was a perfect spot to cozy up and play Nintendo Switch with the kids. The beds were very comfortable. Alot of care goes into this beach house- thank you for making it feel like a home away from home. We had one small issue with the upstairs a/c after a short power outage in the neighborhood, after which the management company came out and fixed right away. Thank you!
