This nicely redecorated 2nd floor 1BR 1 bath condo with a beachfront balcony at The Florence is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your time at South Padre. From the balcony you feel like you are sitting right on the beach. We have high speed WIFI, a 50" & Spectrum cable with Showtime. King bedroom, queen sofa sleeper and a full roll away hidden in a cabinet in the living area will each sleep two comfortably. The new kitchen has a pantry and dishwasher along with all the things you need to prepare meals during your stay. You'll sleep well on the new Comforpedic Loft king mattress with comfy cotton sheets. There is a 40" TV & DVD in the bedroom. The condo is stocked with lots of towels and even beach towels. To help you pack light we furnish beach chairs, a beach umbrella, boogie boards and a small ice chest to take to the beach. We want you to have everything to enjoy your SPI beach vacation! The beach is a short walk through the gated pool area and across the boardwalk. We have shower stations for you upon your return from the beach. You can rinse off, rinse off your beach equipment and have it ready to go for your next beach day. We are located toward the north part of the island between Clayton's and Wanna Wanna. Walking distance to many places but away from the noise and crowds. The island has a free Metro bus that picks up right in front of the building and runs until 9:00 PM. Pet friendly. Pet fee and Pet Agreement required. Max guests: This unit must not exceed 6 guests. We are just a phone call away in case you need anything. Security Dates: $25 ID Wristbands are required for each guest over the age of 10 during the following times: Spring Break Texas week, Easter weekend, Samana Santa, and Independence Day Holiday weekend. Communication was an issue. We arrived earlier in the day than anticipated so messaged Laura to see if we could check in early. No response so I called and got voicemail but no call back. Finally contacted Judy but she could not help us. Also had an issue with one of the remoted when we tried to get local news so texted Laura again to double check if the numbers on the instruction were service people - didn't want them to get a charge if it wasn't necessary again no response. Once these ladies learn to communicate with their clients this will be a perfect booking. The laundry room was next door so was easy to do a little before we left. ##### Mary H. But instead the heating worked well. The humidity and the heating tended to make the floor tiling near the window slick with moisture. Possibly this was because the garage underneath offered no insulation from the cold. However the sun came out, the rain stopped and the wind abated making the last day or so very nice. The kingsized bed was “aged”! The bedside light USB charger sockets were a nice feature. Kitchen was well supplied. TV worked well. We were lucky enough to always find a parking place undercover.
