Emphasis on snow tires. Tahoe roads are icy and power outages are common. Please always wear snow boots and walk with care on icy pathways. \- BBQ/DECKS IN WINTER: Due to snow levels and freezing temps, BBQs are not serviced and decks are not shoveled during the Winter but if you can dig it out and there is propane - feel free to use! \- LATE CHECK OUT: Please let us know 24 hours prior to check out, if you wish to request a late check out. First hour is free then $25/hour after that, not to exceed 1pm. Please note our cleaners sometimes travel for up to 1 hour to clean this home so we ask that you please respect the 10am check out time. \- NO AC: Like most homes in Tahoe, there is no AC but we do provide plenty of fans. \- HIGH FIRE RISK: Lake Tahoe is a high-risk fire area. Fireworks, wood fire pits, smoking/improper disposal of cigarette butts and charcoal BBQ's are prohibited. \- BLACK BEARS: Black bears inhabit Lake Tahoe and are attracted to food and trash. Always lock your car doors, roll up windows and view from afar. Please do not feed our bears. \- TOWELS: We supply one bath towel, one wash cloth per occupant and then one hand towel per bathroom. \- SECURITY: Most of our homes have exterior-only security cameras and noise decibel monitoring systems to ensure we are in compliance with the county ordinance but we take our guests privacy VERY seriously. There is never indoor cameras. Most owners only look to see bears and snow levels at their homes :) \- MOUNTAIN CRITTERS: It’s not uncommon at any home in Tahoe to find little mountain mice, spiders, spider webs, ants, mosquitos, etc. Our homes have on-going extermination services but despite our best efforts, these little critters might make their way inside. If found it doesn’t mean a home is dirty, let us know and we will do our best to mitigate such findings. Great location, Close to the stores. This place is smaller than I usually rent and with only 1 bathroom it does make things a little harder. Overall our experience was horrible as soon as we arrived. And got settled in we prepared dinner by using the oven. 10 minutes into it there was a foul smell or rodent urine. Immediately we called property management and they told us they couldn’t do anything because it was after hours, that we would be contacted in the morning. It smelled so bad and the odor lasted all night. Morning came and we never even received a call. We had to cal back ourselves which led to us experiencing really bad service from property management. They kept giving us the run around by telling us someone would contact us which they never did. Until the end of our stay we never got contacted.
