The property is very family friendly from the beautiful beachfront to rustic cabins to walkable paths to bike rentals to a sweet ice cream coffee parlor as well as a well equipped General Store with convenient eatery. The cabins are truly no frills rustic, but equipped with the basics. The Historic Hotel is comfortable with clean rooms and a cozy lodge lobby. This was our families fourth summer enjoying a Lake Tahoe vacation. The location was great, the staff was friendly, my room at the hotel was decently sized with a big closet, and private bathroom. The bed was a little too firm for my liking but it was acceptable. I had a street facing room and had my windows open at night. I did wake up quite a bit due to traffic noise.
