This is a great spot to enjoy all winter in Tahoe has to offer, skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobile rides. In the summer this is a great home base for hiking, biking, beach trips, exploring all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. The Tahoe Lazy Bear is a 3 bedroom, pet friendly South Lake Tahoe log cabin. Conveniently located off of Pioneer Trail between Sierra-At-Tahoe and Heavenly. Fully fenced yard, cozy living room with gas freestanding stove all add up to a great Lake Tahoe retreat. In the spring and summer it is an easy drive (or bike wide) to Tahoe Paradise Park, Lake Tahoe Golf Course and hiking trails. This log cabin is a wonderful spot to use as your home base to explore all of Lake Tahoe, in the winter drive to Sierra-At-Tahoe, Heavenly Ski Resort or Kirkwood. A few blocks away there is access to miles of forest service trails: hike, bike, cross-country ski, snowshoe-get out and explore. The Tahoe Lazy Bear is a single story log cabin, as you enter the home you are in the open living room and kitchen. Down the hallway there are 3 cozy bedrooms and a full bath. Off the kitchen there is a large laundry room with access to the big fenced backyard. The yard is a great place for the kids and your dog to play. In season there is a picnic table and chairs to lounge on. There is a propane BBQ for summer meals. The Tahoe Lazy bear has televisions set up for streaming and wifi (high speed internet). El Dorado County Vacation rental ordinances are in effect, quiet hours are 10:00pm-8:00am, but the neighborhoods peace and quiet must be maintained at all times. We appreciate your cooperation. If the family is looking for a peaceful spot to gather together to relax and play this cabin may just be the spot for you. It is located approximately 5 minutes from the community of Meyers with local favorite restaurants: The Getaway Cafe, The Divided Sky (bar and restaurant) Freel Perk Coffee Shop, Frescana Mexican Bistro, Bob Dog Pizza and Sombrero's Mexican. Holiday Market is a fully stocked grocery store. In the summer there are two nearby golf courses: Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and Lake Tahoe Golf Course. In the winter there Tahoe Tube is open on the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course. Bedroom 1: Queen Bed Bedroom 2: Double Bed Bedroom3: Double Bed Full bath with tub/shower combination Occupancy: 6 people, children 5 and under are not counted Parking: 2 Vehicles must be parked on the driveway not on the dirt No street parking during snow removal times-vehicles will be ticketed and towed. This cabin is located in the Tahoe Paradise area, off Pioneer Trail close to Meyers- Pet Policy: 1 dog is allowed (2 if small under 25 pounds) there is a $250 pet deposit, that will be refunded if there is no pet damage or excess cleaning required. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snowplows that clear the roads.. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low-profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. But it is not a rental for all seasons, not when the days are above 78 degrees. Summers are becoming warmer and room fans do not suffice to relieve the stifling heat in the home, increased by the heat the skylights brought in. We could not open all windows to get relief as they were not screened in the living room area. Unbearably warm and uncomfortable. We had no option but to open the windows in the bedrooms all night. He’s used to condo/city life, and loved just roaming around in the safe and spacious yard. We wished for an iron (I know, it’s Tahoe), and that the yard had been mowed due to stickers. Although the picnic table was broken down, there was a smaller bistro table that proved useful. Our favorite spot turned out to be the front porch due to traffic noise in back. It’s sunny there daytime, and starry at night with the wind whispering through the pines. Traffic noise wasn’t noticeable inside the house at all, even during naptime. The house really cute inside, and cozy. Everything seems to work well. Our host, Michelle, was very responsive when we thought we were missing a broom (it was leaning in an out of the way corner). Clean, quiet and with many amenities. Very pet friendly. Things that would help would be more dishes (we had to wash after every meal or we didn’t have an extra dish also, and a table for eating instead of the side bar would be great. Plenty of room for that it seemed. It was awkward to eat sitting in a row with 4 (and the cabin allows 6 ). It would also help when playing games.
