The trams are maintained by the neighborhood association, and Shores cannot guarantee that trams will be fully functional every day of your stay. The association may need to close the trams to address repairs, routine maintenance or recharging the batteries that provide the power to move the platforms. The layout was great for hanging out, cooking meals and playing games. We walked a few steps out the front door each night to watch the sunset. The beach in the homeowners association is convenient. We also had good experiences at North Beach in South Haven and at Saugatuck Dunes State Park. The house is well-equipped for cooking and for the beach. The Kal-Haven Trail for running and cycling is a short drive. We have fond memories of our stay. ##### David S. We stayed in the midst of a heat wave and the AC kept up despite all of that.
