The property is a lovely old building right in the centre of MIDHURST . Such a shame it is closing next week for 2 years and the Council r taking it over for Ukraines ladies & children to live in . Lucky them. The breakfast lady was very helpful sorting food that I could eat being intolerant to wheat & gluten & dairy which was appreciated. The bar lady on Saturday night was nice & chatty as well . Hope it reopens with a chef to cook meals in the evening .

Pity my stay was so short. The room was really lovely and I had a good night sleep. It was very quiet at night. There was a heat wave during my stay, but luckily they provided a fan in the room, so it wasn't too bad. Would definitely book again if I return to the area.

Lovely stay
We experienced a lovely stay at the Angel. Immaculately clean, friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed on a Sunday and the bar closed at five, that was the only disappointment but not the end of the world. However, slightly expensive for facilities on offer compared to other places we have stayed.

Needs improvement - not value for money
Conscious not to be too critical as this is people's livelihoods. However at £180 a night (including the dog) you expect better. The restaurant is currently shut - this was mentioned on hotels.com and an oversight on our behalf not to notice. There was mention of street food vans on fridays in the courtyard but they were not present. However to arrive at c6.30pm after a days walking trip to be told the bar shuts at 7.30pm (on a Friday and this is a pub/inn!) means you really are just paying for a b&b. No soap in the room - im sure they would have provided if we'd mentioned but just used bodywash. No vegetarian options for breakfast - they can do you fried or scrambled eggs. Poached not an option on the menu - we didnt ask. This is by no means a terrible place - its a nice building and has the potential but right now they are charging 100% the price for 50% of the services.

Had 2 nights here after our wedding. Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. The place is full of character and right in the middle of MIdhurst. Perfect in every way.

Very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, shame the bar closes at seven thirty ? But there are plenty of local pubs if you want to leave the hotel, will book again if we are that way, actually booked through uk hotels .com, but was charged more than they quoted

No restaurant closed by 20.00 Road noise was appalling. unable to close secondary double glassing. All that was on offer for breakfast were croissant and danish pastries, not what I would expect for a room that costs over one hundred pounds for one night.

To and from Goodwood Revival
The hotel is situated off the High Street of Midhurst so you are likely to hear Road Noise, thoughtfully the owners provided disposable ear plugs. With water, Tea & Coffee the room was well equipped, the issue we encountered was the room was quite dark, the Bed needed a topper and the shower was very weak. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff exceptionally friendly. Others in our party did not fair as well, one couple was in the Chauffer Room which was so small it was difficult to move around the Bed and the only views were of the fire escape ! Our room was overlooked so we had to have the curtains drawn whilst dressing.

Lovely, comfortable room, and the Inn has great character. There was an issue with stale croissants at breakfast, but I was brought a fresh replacement.

A LITTLE UNHAPPY BUT...
location and main part of hotel was lovely . Disappointed with room. Told it was the night porters room. Staff very accommodating as had to come out after 11pm as i had left the key in my car and had walked the three miles back. Have rebooked as its convenient for my work promised an upgrade. Was also over charged which they refunded the next day they pointed this out. ThE ROOM IN THIS PICTURE DID NOT REFLECT THE ROOM I WS IN.

Nice hotel, just a shame I didn’t get the room I had paid for. Staff were great & very helpful. No food served that evening? Plus, had to pay extra for ‘English’ Breakfast? Nice location to explore the area.

The staff were excellent and could not have been more friendly or professional. However, the lack of air conditioning on a very hot two day stay meant that our visit was not as comfortable as we would have expected.

Lovely hotel!
Great hotel. Staff very friendly and the room had everything we could wish for. We stayed in a first floor room overlooking the front of the hotel so did hear the traffic but it didn't keep us awake or spoil our stay in anyway. This may have been quieter if the secondary double glazing closed properly but like I say it didn't spoil our stay at all. Breakfast was great too!

Nice venue and friendly staff
The Angel met our needs perfectly good size well equipped room with excellent bedding, fluffy towels and bath robes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nice restaurant and bar area, we would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room at the front and it was s bit noisy sometimes. But the bed wss so comfy we slept very well.
