We stayed at the Wyndham in February 2024. Overall, we would not choose to stay at this resort again.
For the most part, service was excellent and were were treated very well by the staff. We appreciated the multiple swimming pools and beach access.
We did not like the condition of the room or the late night noise. The food was very hit and miss. You have to make reservations by 8:30am for dinner in one of the restaurants (please get rid of this archaic process!). 2/4 of our family got traveler's diarrhea.
The biggest negative, though, was our check in experience; when we arrived, we were told our room wasn't ready and that we would have to wait for them to clean it and put in a second bed. Our family of 4 arrived late in the day (around 7pm), so we expected a room to be ready. We were offered spa treatment as an apology, but after such a long day of travel, we felt that was unacceptable. Then, after waiting about an hour, we were given access to the room only to find it quite dirty and full of the former guests belongings (pills, socks, used toiletries, trash).
Additionally, we stayed in a room above the lobby. The lobby bar played very loud music every night until late (10-11pm or later). There is zero soundproofing and no concern for guests trying to sleep.
The toilet in our room made a huge, shrill squeak with every flush.
