This is a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway or to have peaceful rejuvenation on one of the nicest stretch of beach. The staff is just so welcoming and efficient.

Staff, food, service, setting, view, beach was wonderful. We loved having our small dog with us. Our room’s deck was not as nice as the other rooms had yet they were the same price. This boutique hotel did not disappoint. We recommend and hope to return.

We were given a room at back when we expected a room at the front. Bathroom taps leaked and toilet stopped flushing next morning. Other than that it was quiet and relaxing an food was good.

Beautiful small boutique hotel. Only 6 rooms and so peaceful. Beach is flat so good for walking. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Food was fabulous. The owner and his wife are on site so much fun to talk too! The only thing I can find wrong is the bed was too hard. No problem I had my egg crate! Plan on another say in the next few months. You can also enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner on the beach without staying there.

Hidden Gem
Chantli Mare is an increasingly rare gem on Mexico’s Costalegre. It’s secluded, set on a long sandy beach perfect for swimming. The food is amazing and reasonably priced and the staff is friendly and eager to please. The village of La Manzanilla is 10 minutes away by car for groceries, souvenirs, and feet-in-the-sand beach restaurants serving delicious fish and shrimp dishes.

El lugar muy agradable, la gente del staff muy amable. Un par de cosas a mejorar: decía que el hotel era de no niños y si había varias familia con niños, por lo cual no es un hotel de descanso. También tiene el servicio de cocina, muy buena por cierto, excelente calidad y sabor. Pero llega mucha gente externa a comer al restaurante, y nuestra experiencia fue que los atendían antes que a los propios huéspedes.

We loved our stay! The property, room and setting was amazing. The owners and staff were warm and accommodating. It might not be an issue for many but the bed was a bit too firm for us, but that was our only issue. We will go back, nonetheless!

It is off the beaten path but once you arrive it is paradise. Staying at Chantli Mare was a magical experience, words can't describe the tranquility and peach we felt while staying here.

Quiet, not busy or haunted by vendors, great beach. Chef is awesome! Typical Mexican service, they were always busy but didn't check on your drinks etc.

We found Chilanti Mare on an Expedia website and we are sure glad we did. My wife and I wanted to marry in Mexico and needed help with all of the unforeseen details and without Roberto's knowledge we would not have had the perfect wedding. The staff was very friendly and immediately responsive to anything we requested. Chef Greg is amazing. Greg is always early to bed and early to rise and never fails to create a delightful culinary surprise. Chalnti Mare is located in a special part of Mexico. La Manzanilla is a ten minute taxi ride and is an Old Mexico town without the big stores and hotels. The beaches are some of the most beautiful in Mexico and are clean and uncrowded. The people in the nearby towns were always friendly and welcoming and we never felt unsafe. We look forward to returning to this special paradise soon.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Their customer service was impeccable, view and location was perfect, food and drinks were great, and the room had the perfect view. They thought of every little detail down to the hand milled soap. We will definitely go back!

I really don't want to share this place . . .
There is nothing better than the Chantli Mare. This was our 2nd year visiting the small boutique hotel (6 rooms) that sits right on the sea. We have already booked our room for next year. The food here is amazing. The staff is attentive, fun and professional. We met the chef this year which was super fun. The beach is essentially private. We walked on the beach to the small town of La Manzanilla more than once - about 3 miles. This year Roberto had some art for sale displayed in the entryway and I scooped some of that up. We fly into Puerto Vallarta and drive 130 miles south to get here and drive is beautiful through the national forest. We. Love. This. Place.

This beach hotel is HEAVEN ON EARTH
This was our second wonderful, totally relaxing visit to Chantli Mare and we loved it even more this time around. Everything is nice, spotlessly clean and the very best Mexican Hospitality has to offer. Roberto, Mary, Eric, Greg, Fernando and Antonio (and the other staff we do not know by name) are truly amazing at making everything nice. The cuisine is fresh, delicious, varied and of the very, very best quality, served with a smile. While our main goal was finding a nice quiet place at the beach, Chantli Mare is just that, but we were totally thrilled with the location, the standard of accommodations, the beach, the landscaping, the surrounding jungle and total lack of traffic. Most everyone around is doing the same thing: relaxing, enjoying the beach and the wonderful scenery, stopping in for lunch or a margarita and just loving Mexico. Everything one could want at the beach is at hand: Beach tables & chairs, umbrellas, lounge chairs, sofas, on the beach or by the pool or in the restaurant/bar area. You can walk the endless miles of white sand, visit La Manzanilla for the "totally real" Mexican family beach or just park in one spot and enjoy the view and the sound of the sea. In a word: Extraordinary!!!

Secluded paradise- just what we like!
A wonderful 6-room hotel on a 5 mile long secluded beach. 2 campgrounds nearby fill for weekends- did not bother us at all. A 60 minute walk or a short taxi ride( $3.50) to La Manzanilla. Gently sloping walkable sandy beach. Reasonable waves close to the water edge- calm beyond. Great food! The owner was very accommodating and helpful, staff was friendly. We had a very pleasant and relaxing 10 days.

Like being at home, but on the beach
We were welcomed and hosted like royalty. Everything about Chantli Mare is something to remember. The hotel, although small, wants for nothing. Mary and Erik took care of our every need - friendly "make yourself at home" atmosphere, but with discreet and excellent service. The beach is stunning, almost deserted and excellent for swimming and playing in the waves. The water is shallow for quite some distance, so it's a great place for people who want to be in the ocean, but not have to swim in deep water. The patio, pool and garden are all beautiful and there is seating of every kind (lawn chairs, sofas, etc.) Chantli Mare is a safe haven from the world with nothing to hear except the voices of your friends and the crashing of the waves. Our room was very comfortable. Fine linen and towels, excellent toiletries and a silent, efficent air conditioner and ceiling fan. Very tastefully furnished, with a big private patio looking out into the coconut groves and the beach. The food was excellent! Everything was prepared fresh and delicious. I would call it "Continental with Mexican influence". We tried the fish dishes, the seafood dishes, eggs a number of ways, hamburgers, fresh fruits... all delicious. Certainly the best hamburger I have had in Mexico! Chantli Mare is a totally relaxing, friendly and beautiful experience. "Getting relaxed" took about 15 minutes from arrival and just got better from the

Perfect beachside paradise
Chantli Mare is the hidden gem of La Manzanilla. It brings a polish to the little fishing village. The location boasts an almost private beach with crystal clear water. The food at Chantli Mare is some of the best around...people not staying there come for the food! Every meal we had was excellent. The B&B on the beat has beautiful rooms with a view, daily housekeeping and mindful staff. We loved this place so much we have already booked our next stay.

PARADISE!!!
This was the most amazing place! Lovely rooms with a lovely setting and amazing food. The owners really gave a lot of thought to our comfort and providing us with the best service, and making sure every need (we never would have thought of) was met! It is very remote and not a place to pick if you are looking for nightlife or people watching, however for us...IT WAS PERFECT!! Very, very reasonable in regards to food and beverage pricing. Actually have to say the food was amazing for every meal, and all was fresh and beautifully prepared. If you are looking for a relaxing place with fabulous views, long sandy beaches and a piece of tropical paradise, this is the place to come!! We will definitely come back!!!! Thanks :))

Pasamos unas vacaciones muy relajadas en familia, excelente servicio de todo el personal. El restaurante muy rico y muy cómodo. El mar de esa zona está muy padre, nos tocó la arena muy limpia sin piedras. El hotel es pequeño solo tiene 7 habitaciones lo cual está padre para disfrutar más las áreas comunes porque la alberca es pequeña. Muy padre el detalle que todas mañanas te tengan listo café y galletas de cortesía afuera de las habitaciones. Aire acondicionado, televisión y todos los servicios funcionan perfecto. Sin duda volveríamos!
