The Living Room has been renovated in Winter 2025\. See the photos. Bayview Cottage features central air conditioning throughout, gleaming hardwood floors in living areas, a tiled kitchen floor with gas stove, stainless appliances w/ dishwasher and microwave, granite counters, breakfast bar, and separate prep area/wine bar with wine cooler. Enjoy the comforts of this tastefully decorated ranch 4/10 mile stroll from Forest Beach, conservation area and near a neighborhood tennis court. On the calendar you will note that during the high Summer Season (June to August, we do a minimum of 7 day/weekly rental. There is also an outdoor shower for after your beach trips. It is a short distance to the inlet to Taylor's pond where there is a landing for fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding.The village center is just 3 miles for unique shopping, fine dining, large playground, weekly band concerts, the Coast Guard Lighthouse, and the nationally renowned Chatham Anglers NCAA baseball games where MLB scouts search for new talent. Well-maintained home with beautiful decorative accents and well-stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable, with nice linens, although the double bed was squeaky and may need a new boxspring. Although one can walk to the small Forest Beach, it's not close enough if you're heading there with chairs, cooler, kids, etc. There is some free parking available, however. Several beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive, where you can pay 20/day to park. These beaches also have amenities, such as restrooms, snack bar.The owners, who live across the street, are very nice and make the house super comfortable. House is newly renovated and kept in excellent condition. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to a community beach for swimming or walking, also very close to shopping and sight seeing destinations. Owners are very responsive and nice. The town even has a few level 3 fast charging stations, not the fastest but fast enough to get cars charged while window shopping or dining. Séjour de 14 nuits en juillet 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Laura F. 25 juin 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### A fabulous week away We had a wonderful stay this past week; the house was just as described and everything we had hoped for -- clean, very comfortable, and in a terrific location...within walking distance of a very nice beach, close to downtown Chatham, and in a great spot for exploring other areas of Cape Cod! The hosts, Diane and Peter, were very responsive to any questions we had both before we arrived and during our stay, and very thoughtfully left us a welcome note along with some snacks and a bottle of wine, They live across the street from the property, so we also had the chance to meet them and had a very nice talk with them. Cottage is roomy and has all the amenities. I took off a star because it was a bit dusty and could use a thorough cleaning. It was fine for my friend but I’m a bit of a clean freak. The property was perfect for our extended stay and we really appreciated the up to date and very well-stocked kitchen. Having a small public beach within walking distance was also very nice and we appreciated having Chatham and Harwichport equally accessible. You have to drive (or bike) into downtown Chatham, but parking was never a problem and it's very walkable once you are there. ##### Elizabeth D. It was very clean and spacious. It was a great location for what we were looking for. short distance to town and forest beach and Harding beach.
