Fantastic location. Calm and tranquil but in the middle of everything. Hotel rooms and facilities exactly like pictures on internet, breakfast is a feast not to be missed with homemade cakes and local fresh produce.

"Perfect Location and Friendly Staff"
This B&B is on Corso Italia, the main street of Sorrento, so it is very easy to get around. I read comments about the noise level but it was no issue for us. The only thing is that the beds were pretty hard but after a long day of exploring we slept like babies. The breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast so pastries and coffee. Their coffee was very good and I was obsessed with their cheese and sweet rolls. (Literally obsessed) The family that owns the B&B was super friendly and helpful with any of our questions. You can leave your luggage in the lobby after checking out if you want to continue to explore. Probably one of our favorite things was that this was a great place to meet people from all over the world! Overall I wholeheartedly recommend and if I go back to Sorrento I'll know where to stay! (Going back for the rolls and cheese!) Oh and we stayed from October 18-21. It was perfect because the weather was great and there were no huge flocks of tourists.

"Nice Hotel, Good Location"
We stayed for our wedding in August 2015. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the Cloisters for the Bride and is a nice setting for photographs etc. Good breakfast, pool a little on the small size but roof terrace is good for drinks and dining. Only complaint was that when you leave the do not disturb sign on the door, staff still entered the room to make bed/change towels.

"A hotel of 2 halves!"
If you book a Classic room, make sure its one of the reburbished ones! We were put in an old room on the 3rd floor with mould on the walls, wall paper peeling off, framed pieces of wall paper on the wall (???!!!), make shift furniture (the bed wasnt attached to the head board) and our broken safe was replaced with a handbag sized removeable one - very convienient! Horrible, ghostly and felt dirty - the rug felt like it was made of 100 years of nun's hair!! Not the photo of the Classic room on the website. After a night sleeping with one eye open, we were moved to a refurbished room on the 2nd floor - what a difference! 2nd floor was lovely, great room, lovely hallway - this was the hotel i thought i had booked and the reviews i had read! Overall (ignoring the horrendous start that left me crying at reception and looking to check out before we'd checked in!), staff are delightful, food is good (Japanese resturant on the sea front is lovely), pool is big and in a lovely setting but old and the bottom is cracked and broken up. The gym is a time warp from the 80's but i dont think anyone uses it. The spa looked dingy and i never saw anyone down there. Its a good location, close to town but with space and quiet - the shuttle is excellent, just call (before 10.30pm) and they come pick you up/drop you off in town. I would recommend it, but just dont go to the 3rd floor!!!!!

"Nice hotel, really good service across the board"
Stayed here for a week and the service was consistently good. Nice clean room and the food is great. Good selection for the breakfast buffet and the food at lunch in the beach bar/evening in the restaurant was great. Loads of room at the private beach and the terrace provided a great view throughout the day. 20 walk into town or take the free shuttle bus. Only minor grumble is that the evening meal and (especially) the bar were very expensive but you can say that about all of the really nice places in Sorrento so not a problem as such!

"Short Stay at Grand Hotel Moon Valley"
Check-in: Smooth, I expected friendlier staff - no big smiles, no little pleasantries. It is nice & clean, average size - 107 rooms, 4 floors. Room: Our Sea View Room views were fantastic! Large bedroom & bathroom. It is true what they say about the towels - never seen any like those before. They looked & felt like tablecloths but were very large and did what you needed them to do. The water didn't drain properly when showering. We had free WiFi in our room. Pool: Two pools, pretty and clean - one for kids. Bring your own towel or pay Front Desk for one - madness!. It closes at 7 p.m. so you won't be able to swim under the stars or relax after a long day trip. Breakfast: Continental breakfast included. I saw more cold cuts than usual, boiled eggs, juice, croissant, bread, cereals, coffee, tea, muffins, sweet breads, typical stuff. I like breakfast so can't say I loved it but it was enough to start my day. Location: Great views but a good distance from Sorrento. If you want nightly entertainment, stay in Sorrento or enjoy the commute:). Walk to the train is single file and approx. 10 minutes. Shuttle service available but not advertised/encouraged. Road is busy and not pleasant to walk back after a long day or at night, uphill on the way back, downhill to the train. Last train from Sorrento @ 9:30 pm and taxi fare is very high even though it's not that far - plan wisely or pay at a premium! Hotel photos on their website are a true representation.
