Private Balcony Overlooking Washington St in Downtown Sonora

Convenient free parking and located directly on Washington Street, the main street of the historic, Gold Rush town of Sonora, is our recently remodeled apartment with a bit of the old character left behind. The unit has a balcony overlooking Washington Street, nicely equipped kitchen (Silverware, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Oven, Stove, Refrigerator) and is steps from shopping and restaurants. Just an hour from the entrance to Yosemite, skiing at Dodge Ridge, Big Trees State Park, Murphys (wine tasting), Historic Columbia and Jamestown.

Bedroom in the back is seprarate from the living space and quiet (away from the road) and has a brand new Luxury Saatva mattress (2021). Fold out couch has a new memory foam mattress (2021)and comfortably sleeps 2 but please note that the unit is right on Washington st so you may hear traffic noise in the morning if you are a light sleeper. A white noise machine is provided if needed

Most guests prefer to park at the fire museum lot which allows for overnight parking but is limited to 3 hours from 8:00am to 6:00pm

Perfect launching point for day trips around Gold Country and into the High country

5.5 stars!
This little apartment was adorable and the location can’t be beat in the sweet town of Sonora. The hosts were attentive and helpful, there was all the necessities available and more and we took advantage of the balcony several times. The master bed was very comfortable (i should mention that the guest that stayed in the front room said it was quite loud and a bit challenging to sleep but they did have sound machines in both rooms) and there was plenty of space to enjoy breakfast at the counter and play a board game we brought while listening to the hustle and bustle below. Lots of cute restaurants, coffee places and shops in walking distance.

Perfect apartment in a great location
This apartment was beyond what we expected. The kitchen was well stocked with many things beyond pots and pans. It had coffee, tea, spices and oils among other items. There were candles, games and books. All above a normal listing. The location was great to walk around town. The Fire Museum and Veteran’s Museum were both interesting with helpful people to explain their items. We would definitely return to this property.
