Cons: THE HOTEL NEEDS A COMPLETE REFURBISH
THE ROOM WAS MOST DISAPPOINTING HASNT BEEN DONE UP FOR 30 YEARS THE BED HAD A VERY OLD MATTRESS THAT WAS MOST UNCOMFORTABLE AND SMELT IN FACT THE ROOM HAD A VERY DANKY SMELL THE BATH WAS DIRTY

BE WARNED!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

Cons: Days Inns liaising with 3rd party booking sites
We had a bad experience when we visited Days Inn Taunton. We arrived in the evening and just wanted a bed for the night. We booked the hotel for 3 adults and had e mail confirmation of this. When we tried to book in the receptionist told us that we would not be allowed in because the room was only for 2 adults and 2 children. We showed her our booking and she just reiterated that we could not stay. I stated that she would have to sort something out because I wasn't going anywhere. She then asked how we intended to sleep and was very rude when she thought I would sleep in a double bed with my daughter for about 7 hours as we were heading on south early in the morning. It is not her business how we slept! She was also on the phone most of the time whilst she was talking to us and saying to the other person "hotels.com have done it again and sent us 3 adults" She stated that on their website it states that rooms are not available for 3 adults but I stated that we booked on expedia which offered accomadation for 3 adults and that her hotel should sort it out with expedia and not take it out on tired guests. Eventually after much fussing she gave us the key and charged the correct rate, On arrival at the room we found 1 double , 1 pull out bed and a sofa bed which was fine for 3 adults for 7 hours. Be warned the room was fine but customer service and information provided for the customers was lacking.

Pros: Very dog friendly
Location: Easy to get to from the M5. Easy to get to Musgrove hospital where we were visiting a relative.
Helpful staff. Very dog friendly. Good sized room. Clean & comfortable

Holiday visiting Heritage Railways

Pros: Good value for money
Cons: Only stayed one night so cannot make any constructive comments
Location: Convenient position to visit The West Somerset Railway at Bishops Lydeard which was the main reason for staying.
Nice hotel at reasonable rates. Comfortable with all the necessary requirements available, which is more than can be said for our next port of call run by a well known national chain.

Good value for money

Pros: It's location was handy for what I required. Although its location is on the M5 services the room was fairly quiet.
Cons: Update the bathroom . Provide more than one pillow per person
Location: Location was as I required , however didn't do or look at nearby things to do .
Stayed at this hotel due to its location for attending a family function. Hotel is not bad, could do with a bit of an update as decoration appears a bit dated . Bathroom was just about acceptable.

Worse than student accommodation

We arrived Saturday 25th to be told they had no record of my booking, which i booked through expedia. The lady in the reception told us she would be able to book us in for 3 nights she then changed her mind and said we could stay for tge the week and i paid in full, i then rang expedia who said they would ring the hotel, but told me they couldn't get through i spoke to reception who informed me they found my booking., but no apology. I am wondering if the room i was allocated was the one we were supposed to be in, the bath was dirty and the shower only ran boiling hot water. The next day the cleaner had been in our room and left the window open and the tv on. Tonight we can't watch the tv as bad interference. This has not been a pleasant stay. I chose this hotel as we had stayed in days inn Wetherby twice and it was 100 times better than this.

Basic hotel suitable for needs

For the price paid the hotel was more than adequate for what we needed. We used it for a one night stop to break our journey down South. Would stay again for one night.

The hotel staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you they were very polite and helpful give us information of local attractions. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay there for the night. If we are down that part of the country again we will definitely stay there.

Spacious room, clean and cheap convenient

We needed a hotel to break our journey. This Days Inn was very convenient and inexpensive. The room was larger and better equipped than expected. Well pleased!
